He sat in his car and turned on some music . He was listening to music on shuffle when ' their ' song came up . The song that was supposed to be played on their wedding . Lately , he would have immediately skipped the song due to the ties it had to his ex , but instead he let it play . He tried not to let even a single memory of Mindy come to his mind . It was hard but it was worth a try . It wasn't until the song ended and the next one began that his mind registered how he was able to listen the whole song without thinking about them at all . It was in this moment that he realized I that it was not too hard to get over Mindy . After all she was the one who broke his heart why should he be the one to suffer

Sometimes there is an a-ha moment when you realize you've officially moved on from a past relationship. But many times the process ends more subtly .

He was feeling this strong and strange feeling what we can term as freedom . Freedom from the burden that he has been carrying in his heart .

Since he was on whole ' getting over Mindy ' thing , what is the first thing he should do ?

Get back in touch with his friends . Tyler had cut Steven and Clara of his life , one of the reason was they were his and his ex's mutual friends . He feared that they will bring up her name either willingly or unwillingly or what if he goes to their place and Mindy also happens to be there . . . . . How awkward will it be to share room with the girl who threw him out of her life just like you throw the housefly out of your drink .

Mindy was one of Clara's best friend so obviously Clara might be in touch with her so it will also be a challenge for him to not ask her anything about Mindy .

Most importantly If you're hanging out with your mutual friends and you don't have any urge to ask how your ex is doing , you're well on your way to being fully moved on . It was time to put this theory on test .

But before he goes there , there was one more important thing to do .

Get rid of Mindy's clothes that were still at his place . What should he do with them ?

Should he burn them ?

No , because getting rid isn't the same thing as burning your ex's things because you can't stand the sight of their stuff . He didn't wanted emotions to come his way .

Should he return them to her ?

No because for that he will have to see her again which obviously he didn't wanted to . . . . .

So what now ?

He kept whispering to himself .

" Oh yes , I will give them off to charity ! "

If your ex's clothes have found their way into your pile of clothes to give to Goodwill , you have probably moved half way from that relationship .

And more over what is the point of keeping extra piles of clothes ?

After a breakup , it is hard to hold yourself accountable for any role you played in the relationship ending . But if you can own up to your own actions , you have likely moved on from the relationship .

It seems like what should he be held accountable for . After all it was Mindy who broke his heart and left him at the altar . But like everything has two sides and so does every situation . He realized that may be he was the reason for the lacking trust in their relationship . May be he was not able to built that . Mindy didn't trusted him there got to be a reason for that . . . . . . . .

But as it was clear that none of that mattered anymore .

Anyways If you are still thinking up ways to get back together with your ex , then you are not over them .

His phone rang .

Usually he used to get anxious wondering if it was from Mindy ! I mean how will he react if it was really from ? . . . . . . What will he say if she asks to get back together ? . . . . . . Will he question her angrily or will he be grateful to her for wanting him back ? . . . . . .

But this time there were no anxious feelings when the call comes in . . . . . . . and his first thought were not that it could be Mindy .

His mind was at a clearer place .

His grandma told him " When you can get back to staying focused on important tasks like work without being consumed by thoughts of your ex , you are moving forward . And look on to that . "

I stopped by your place you were not there .I then called your grandma she told me you were not even them . I got worried . . . . . . "

Tyler: " Steven . . . . .Steven . . . . .I am fine . I am really fine . "

Steven: " So why are you lost ? "

Tyler: " I stopped at a hospital on my way back . "

Steven: " Why did you stop at the hospital ? Are you injured ? Have you met an accident ? Just tell me where you are I will come to pick you up . "

Tyler: " Steven I know you are concerned but I am absolutely fine . Now I can even say that for sure . "

Steven: " So why did you stop by the hospital ? If you wanted to have some lunch then hospital is not the right place to be . "

Tyler: " Oh ! thank you for the information . I didn't knew that . "

Steven: " Stop making jokes . "

Tyler: " You started first . "

Steven: " I can because I am angry with you . "

Tyler: " I know . "

Steven: " So tell me why were you at the hospital at the first place ? "

Tyler: " I saw Mindy she was going to the hospital . "

Steven: " You chased her to the hospital . "

Tyler: " Yes you can say so . "

Steven: " What is wrong with you ? . . . . Don't you remember what she did ? "

Steven: " If you remember then why did you go after her . "

Steven: " I thought that going to your grandma's place was a part of whole getting over Mindy thing . "

Steven: " So stalking your ex is a process of getting over her . "

Steven: " Oh ! I have some news to give you Clara has moved in with me . So we are kind a living together . "
