Steven felt hopeless , what could he do to make Clara realizes that she is the most important and Emily don't hold any special place in his life . He wanted to hold her hand and take her with him but he could clearly see in Clara's eyes that she didn't wanted him to be around her . Steven loved to look into Clara's eyes because he used to see unconditional love for him . But now he was scared , what if there's no love for him in her eyes .

He didn't wanted to push Clara into a relationship that she will regret later because that way she will never be able to be happy . And he could do anything for her happiness even if that means letting her go .

Clara said that if they were destined to be together then they will find a way back to each other , Steven was not going to rely on destiny because he knew that his future lies in her arms . They share a common road to a happy future , they were meant to find a way .

Steven rubbed his bleary red eyes and took his steps back . He was trying very hard to hold back her tears . The hardest thing in life is to look at the person you love and tell yourself that it is time to walk away . His vision blurred due to tears but he was still able to notice that he was not the only one in the room who was crying .

He walked out of the door . Rachel was eavesdropping their conversation . Oh my God ! Steven was coming , she ran away from the door .Oh no , she hurt her knee from the corner of the table . She held her mouth tightly to stop herself from screaming . She didn't wanted to get caught . " Steven . how did it go ? " Rachel said casually like she was not aware what went in . Steven walked past her without even listening to her , he was not aware of the world around her . He sat in his car and drove away .

Rachel went inside the room . Clara was sitting on the bed , slicing apples . No one could tell looking at her that she was affected by what just happened .

Rachel went and sat beside Clara .

" Clara what is going on ? "

Clara gave an apple to Rachel " Have it and stop worrying . "

" There is something that you should tell me . You wanted Steven to crawl back to you and beg you to come back with him . He came and he did exactly what you wanted him to do , I heard . But still you send him away . Why ? Don't you want to be with him now . "

" Of course I do want him back but when he will be back this time I want to be sure that he won't look around . I want him to struggle to get me . "

" Sweetie I know that I known you for a long time now but you are very hard to get and I can't read your mind . "

" Where are you going from this ? "

" What is up with you ? What is going on in your mind ? "

" I need coffee . I was under a lot of stress lately knowing that Steven was coming . Come I will make some coffee and tell you everything over it . "

Rachel follows Clara to the kitchen . Clara picks up coffee from the shelf " Rach do you want sugar ? "

" I have gained weight so no sugar for me . Just some milk will be fine . So . . . "

" There are cupcakes in the fridge take them out . "

" Oh hello ! haven't you heard me before I am not taking sugar in coffee because I am on a diet and you are offering me cupcakes . "

Clara passes the cup to Rachel and takes out the cupcakes from the fridge " Well today is a day of celebration ! "

" A celebration for what ? "

Clara takes a bite of her cake " I thought that you were eavesdropping our conversation so why are you asking now ? I thought that you will be the one congratulating me . "

Rachel also picks up a cupcake " Well I don't think I know the reason why we are celebrating but celebrations are always an excuse to break diet . So I can have one . . . . . Ummm ! it's yum . Nothing can beat red velvet " She picks up another " May be chocolate can . " She sniffs her cake " Come to mama baby , I missed you . What are we celebrating ? "

" I was waiting for this question but you were busy sniffing your cake . So Emily backed off from the project . "

" What project ? " Rachel wondered " Oh , I am so sorry I remember now . Your big break in which they chose Emily over you . But why is she letting it go . "

" I don't know and why should I even be concerned . See finally good things are happening to me . I got back Steven and my project . I don't know what better could happen to me. Emily brought darkness into my life but now since she is out it is all bright and beautiful again . "

" And what about Steven ? "

" What about him ? "

" How long are you planning to swing him around ? "

" For a while and don't be sympathetic to him . He called for it . He upset me and now he will have to pay , "

" What if he decided to let you go ? "

" Are you kidding ? He is blinded by my love . He can't live without . In fact he will go crazy without me . I have that much control on him . So that is not even a question . Just sit back and wonder to what extent he will go to win me back . "

" Not in a while . God knows what's going in her life . May be three of us should get together and have a break from everything . "

" I miss clubbing . Just three of us , like old days . Well it can't exactly be like the old days since you both are committed now . "

" Oh hello ! In what world are you living ? Mindy broke up with Tyler , Steven and I are on a break . "

" Oh yes , earlier we were three friends without any relationship and now we are three friends with broken relationships , we grew up Emily ! Lets ask Mindy to come over tonight so that we can plan out everything . "

Rachel texted Mindy to come over at Clara's . Mindy was herself in a surprise why was she supposed to come at Clara's place and not Steven's . Clara and Steven moved in together . Well she had a lot of catching up to do .

Steven was depressed . He didn't knew where to go or whom to turn to . He was looking for a way to get back Clara but what if he only pushed her further away .

He didn't wanted to push her or force her so he can't text her or call her , Clara left him because she wanted some time from him . And more over she told him that he should not call her , she will call him when ever she will be ready . This was the most painful thing she ever said to him , they were in a long - term marriage . They were about to get married for God's sake . It is hard to stop talking to some person who has been there with you for years . He has been relying on her for emotional support for a long time .

Losing a good person and especially if that person was your whole world is devastating , everything around you reminds you of them but still you can't have them . It is heartbreaking .
