Ava arrived at the hospital first because the call was pulled through to her before anyone else. She rushed to the reception and asked about Adam, but the nurses didn’t let her in. They said he was in a serious condition and the doctors were still with him, trying their best to save his life. She stood there helpless, pacing back and forth. A few minutes later, Dawn arrived and saw Ava pacing the hallway, her eyes red and wet. She ran to her immediately.
“They won’t let me in. They said he’s in a serious condition,” Ava said, her voice trembling.
