FOUR MONTHS LATER
It had been a marvelous four months, and Eric had never been more in love in his life. Rayna was everything he had ever dreamt of. Her voice, her bodacious body, and her heart of gold made her the best woman he had known.
Eric already introduced her to everyone he knew that meant something to him. Even Dusty, the guy that ran the hotdog stand near campus was introduced to Eric's girlfriend.
Just when Eric thought things couldn't get any better, Rayna told him some good news.
“Babe, guess what?" Rayna asked Eric as she slipped on her underwear.
“You know I'm not good at the guessing game. So go ahead and spill it," he slapped her butt.
“Well, I've decided to take you home during the Christmas break to meet my parents," Rayna squealed.
“Are you serious?" Eric beamed with joy.
"Yes, I am serious. I just can't wait for you to meet my folks. So get packing, Andrew and Makenna will arrive soon," Rayna said as she pulled her suitcase from beneath the bed and started to pack.
“Wait! We are leaving today?"
“Yes, so get packing, it's getting late."
An hour later and Eric is putting the luggage in the trunk of Rayna's car.
“That's the last of it," Eric sighed.
"I just got a text from Makenna, they're almost here," Rayna said as Eric embraced her from behind.
"I don't know why I'm feeling nervous. Maybe it's because I like you a lot and I'm hoping your folks take a liking to me too."
"Trust me they will," Rayna stated before kissing Eric on the lips.
They heard a car pull up and they turned around to see Andrew and Makenna emerging with smiles on their faces.
"Let's get a move on you love birds," Makenna said cheerily as she clapped her hands.
They all piled in Rayna's truck, since it's bigger, and went on their way. Makenna and Andrew sat in the back, they didn't pay much attention to what was going on because they were too busy swapping saliva.
Eric looked through the rearview mirror and chuckled.
"What's so funny?" asked Rayna who was planted in the driver's seat.
He signaled to the back seat and she looked in the mirror and then chuckled too.
"They can't keep their hands off each other, and when we get home, later tonight I won't be able to keep mine off you," Rayna finished with a seductive look.
Eric then took her free hand and kissed it. "Can't wait," he said as he released her hand and caress her thigh.
Six hours later they arrived at Rayna's family home.
"This is it, home sweet home," Rayna announced as they got out of the car.
The scenery before them was breathtaking and idyllic. The greenery consisted of palm trees that stood at the front of the house, and oak trees that stood mighty and poised at the sides as if they were guarding the magnificent structure. There were a few aloe vera and cactus plants that were planted along the cobblestone pathway that led to the entrance. The house was a beautiful two-story structure that stood high on bright, peachy, orange-colored beams. It was painted in oyster white and gray.
"Wow, I wasn't expecting this at all. I thought Bayous had only swamp houses," said Andrew as he took in the sight before him.
"Shut up Andrew," Makenna said as she swatted him upside his head.
"We actually do have a swamp house," stated Rayna. "It's around the back but it's condemned. It was our first family home. My great-great-grandpa built it with his bare hands, so my parents keep it as a reminder as to where we are coming from."
"Cool. Maybe we can check it out later," Eric spoke playfully.
"Yeah, maybe. Come on, let's go meet my folks," Rayna announced as she led the way.
As Eric's feet landed on the pathway a gust of wind slapped his face, causing him to stagger a bit.
"Easy there," Rayna smiled as she held him firmly to her. Eric then looked up and his eyes caught something at one of the upstairs windows. The curtain slowly closed, concealing what was behind the window. He blinked rapidly and the figure disappeared. He thought to himself maybe he is hallucinating because he was so hungry.
They walked up to the entrance and Rayna hollered as she opened the door.
"I'm home!"
The galloping of footsteps stampeding along the wooden floor made its way down the guest's ears.
Before the person came into sight, a cheery female voice that held a similarity to Rayna's then greeted. "My sweet RayRay," Then a woman with hair as black as Rayna's except hers had silver streaks at each temple came into view. She outstretched her slender arms to hug her daughter. The mature woman possessed the same ivory skin as her daughter, though you could see the aging on her. She had a warm and welcoming aura about her, just like Rayna.
"Hi mom," Rayna embraced her mother and planted a kiss on her cheek. The two identical females pulled away from each other, then Rayna made the introductions. "This is my mom Margot, mom you already know Makenna, and this is Andrew and my boyfriend Eric," Rayna stated as she held Eric's hand.
"It's nice to meet you both, especially you Eric. Rayna has raved so much about you," she smiled as she shook Eric's hand.
"Nice to finally meet you too Mrs. Price," Eric smiled.
"Where's dad and Milo," asked Rayna.
"They are around the back. Your father is teaching your brother how to skin a frog," Mrs. Price finished.
"That sounds cool!" exclaimed Andrew. Both Eric and Makenna looked at him puzzled. "What?"
"You sound way too enthused about skinning a frog, man," stated Eric.
"Naa, I just want to learn a few things while I'm here"
"Be careful what you wish for," Mrs. Price stated before heading back to the room from where she came.
"Come on, let's go." Rayna led them out the back.
"Dad, Milo, I'm home," she announced.
They then heard what sounded like a shotgun go off.
"Yippidy doo!" They heard from their left.
They all turned around to see a man and a little boy walking towards them. The man had what seemed to be a small alligator slung around his neck and the little boy had a bag with around a dozen frogs.
"Guys this is my dad Robert and my little brother Milo," said Rayna.
The man threw the gator on the ground and wiped his blood-stained hands into his tattered jeans before extending it to them.
"I'm Robert but I also go by Silver fox," he grinned at Makenna.
The two guys hesitantly shook his hand.
"Nice to meet you, sir," Eric and Andrew said in unison.
Mr. Price then held on to his shotgun before saying.
"Now, which one of you boys has been shagging my daughter?"
They all gasped, except for Milo who was busy laughing his head off.
