"please sir, I'm sorry, I promise to pay back your money… just let me go, please… please!!" Natasha kept pleading, her voice trembling
She wasn't ready to give up without doing anything… she used her left leg to kick one of the gangsters holding her hands… " f**k…kkk!! My balls!!" he screamed holding his balls.
She immediately gave the other gangster a vampire's bite. He couldn't bear the pain , so he left her immediately.
Natasha ran away and didn't look back.
"Stupid b***h!!! come back here!!" They said and chased after her
The boss who was at the front, saw as Natasha ran past him. He couldn't believe what just happened, he turned back to look at his boys who were already chasing after her.
He raised his voice pointing in their direction "Assholes!! Make sure you fools come back here with her or don't bother coming back if you don't want to die!!!!!!!!!"
Natasha kept running towards the busy and congested streets, she turned to cross towards the other side, not minding the busy roads and vehicles, she jumped into a moving car and fell down immediately, the car horn honk, the engine screeched but the driver held the brake immediately.
"What was that?" the man in the car asked
I'm sorry sir, a crazy b***h jumped in front of the car" the driver answered
"Go outside and check" the man commanded
"Okay sir," the driver replied.
Natasha saw that the gangsters were still chasing after her and was almost getting closer to her direction, she hurriedly stood up as the car almost injured her. "I'm sorry, sorry about that" she said as she waved at the car
"Are you okay?" The driver asked, holding her from running…
The boss came out immediately to see the situation " are you sure you don't want to go to the hospital and why are those thugs after you?" he asked also holding her from running
"I'm fine.., I'm fine…" she said as her heart raced faster seeing the gangsters already approaching her…
"No.. ummm… Yes I need to go to the hospital, I'm not fine at all" she said again and pretended to have fainted…
The driver immediately carried her to the car, they were about to zoom off when the gangsters stood in front of the car, hitting the car for them to bring her out..
"Hey.. you awake? Why are those thugs after you"… the boss asked
The voice gave Natasha a bit of relief, somehow she felt safe inside the car. Her face was towards the window side , she immediately turned to see the face behind the voice, she saw a tall masculine man, with dark hair in a nicely tailored suit sitting beside her. His features displayed a sense of maturity and wealth.
Natasha in her trembling voice replied "I told them to give me sometime to pay back, but they refused"
"So you owe them?" He asked
" yes " she replied
"How much do you owe them?" He asked again…
Natasha was reluctant to answer, she felt embarrassed and wanted to leave the car to continue running…. "I'm sorry for bothering you sir" she said as she turned to open the door…
He immediately stopped her and said "Hey chill, do you want to keep running, will you keep running forever, what if you get caught and they do something bad to you? you're a lady, so chill let me go talk to them"
"don't worry sir, I will be fine…I will pay…." She said
He immediately interrupted her "no, I can't leave you alone like this, not in the hands of those thugs.. I will go talk to them don't worry"
" please sir be careful, those guys look very dangerous" the driver added
"Do you know how much this car costs? Why do you want to destroy a car that your miserable life can't afford even in your next life?" He retorted in violence
"You better mind your business and give us that stupid...."
"How much" he interrupted
They smirked and said " do you want to bribe us, so you can..."
"I mean how much does she owe you guys" he interrupted again
They stared at him from head to toe, moved a step backward and immediately called their boss to update him on the situation
Some minutes later, they came back and said "10 million dollars!"
Natasha came out from the car to know the situation, she immediately heard them say 10 million
"Shameless thieves!!! My father borrowed 5 million dollars from your boss and not 10 million dollars" she interfered
The man immediately wired them 10 million dollars…
Natasha couldn't believe her eyes… "Thank you very much sir, thank you, thank you, thank you, I promise to pay you back sir" she said as uncontrollable tears rolled down her cheeks..
"Is fine, it is okay… enter the car let me drop you off" he said
The man sat next to her in the car on their way to drop her off…
"So why did your father borrow that huge sum of money from those evil loan shark .. ?", he asked looking directly at her
Natasha didn't know where to start from so she kept quiet…
"Hey…it is fine if you don't want to answer" he said….
"I know we just met but I have an offer for you, that could possibly change your life" he added
Natasha felt a surge of emotions when the man's words sounded to her like he pitied her …
" I know you just helped me pay back a huge sum of money and I promise to pay you back but what makes you think you can change my life, you don't even know me and ...", Natasha replied.
"I know I can, at least you said it yourself, I just helped you, I can do more… all you have to do is accept my offer, you don't have to pay me, just accept my offer in exchange of the payment, I'm sorry to say this but you look very unkempt and very miserable,", the man interrupted
Natasha looked at herself with pity and didn't know what to say….
She exhaled and asked "what offer is this that could magically change my life?"
The man smiled and said "here is my card, I will be expecting you at my office tomorrow at 10am, there we can talk about the offer".
Natasha in curiosity collected the card "huh! Kensington!! Like you work at Kensington!!, The almighty Kensington Holdings!!"
"You know Kensington Holdings" he asked
"Who doesn't know Kensington Holdings" she replied
Natasha, still looking at the card added "…. Aid… en.. Kensing..ton.., Aiden Kensington!!?"
Natasha popped her eyes out and asked "Are you Aiden Kensington?"
"Well if you're so curious, come tomorrow and find out" the man replied
In the silent moment as the man waited for her response her phone rang, it was her aunt. She quickly asked the driver to stop the car so she could come down..
"Are you okay here" aiden asked her
In between the conversation, her phone kept ringing…..
"Yes I'm okay here"
"Bye, Mr. Aiden Kensington", Natasha voiced out, keeping his card in her hand.
She immediately got down from the car and answered the call…
"Tasha,your mom! She had another seizure! She's at the hospital, the doctors are requesting money before they can operate on her '', her aunt, Ms. Vanessa hastily said on the phone.
Natasha's heart dropped on her stomach as she heard the words of her aunt, where would she get money at this time? Who would she ask for Money or borrow from when they were already in so much debt?
As her aunt hung up, Natasha's situation and mood worsened as the news sent shockwaves down her spine, she couldn't think of calling Mervick, the scumbag that cheated on her.
"All these won't be happening if you were still alive dad" she said as uncontrollable tears rolled down her cheeks…
She squatted for a moment on the floor of the street leading to her house, bent her head down and cried her eyes out, remembering the beautiful family she once had…
With trembling hands, she stood up, zoomed off to the hospital.
When she left, Aiden realized he never got her name.. and wondered what made her run off like that…
