TITANIA: Goddess of War

Chapter 11

His hand was stopped by a princess in armour, partly demolished by the Destroyer. She was bleeding, but she was alive. Everyone sighed in relief as she took out her electric spear and ended a flash of lightning through the Destroyer. He stumbled backwards a bit, enough for Neilrosa to pull Thor behind one of the cars parked closeby. 

"What the hell are you thinking?!" She screamed at him and shook him by the shoulders. He watched her in awe, not sure if what he sees isn't a ghost. She slapped him and brought him back to reality.

"You are alive..."

"Of course I'm. I won't die that easily, you know me. But anyway, what are you doing??"

"I must stop it. Go to others!" He ordered her and got up, back to the Destroyer.

"Here you have me..." He extended his arms again and before anyone could react, the Destroyer smacked him with the back of his hand, making him fly. A nasty sound of breaking bones sounded and Thor landed in from of Jane, Darcy and Selvig. Jane was the first one to react, she ran to him, didn't care about what could happen to her.

"Jane, no!" Selvig screamed as she got to Thor, fell on her knees and grabbed his face in her hands. Neilrosa stumbled to them and fall on her knees too, her eyes watery. The Destroyer turned around and started to walk away.

Loki did the same as Destroyer, turning around from where he was standing before the throne to walk back.

Odin, still in his Odinsleep, had one tear rolled down his cheek.

Neilrosa couldn't believe her eyes, Thor was lying motionless and probably dead on the road. Thunder rumbled in the distance, catching her attention. Something flew to the sky and them. She quickly grabbed Jane and dragged her away just in time. Mjolnir flew right into Thor's hand and lighting hit him. The Destroyer stopped and turned around, everyone watching the rebirth of God fo Thunder. 

He appeared in all his glory, his shining armour and Mjolnir in his hand. He brought him down onto the ground. A blast of lightning hit the Destroyer and pushed him to the ground. While he was laying, Thor started to swing his hammer, creating a tornado and sweeping Destroyer off his feet. He tried to shoot at Thor but he diverted ever blow to the wall of the tornado. Thor just then dived toward him, Mjolnir collided with one of the blasts and pushed it forward, overpowering it, forcing it downwards at the Destroyer. Hammer collided with his face and tremendous energy withing him builder up and exploded, destroying him completely. Neilrosa and other roused and ran to him. 

Coulson with a few S.H.I.E.L.D agents appeared as the dust set down.

"Donald, Neilrosa... I don't think you've been completely honest with me." They looked at him and then at each other and laughed.

Loki went to the Observatory, stuck Gungir into the control panel and open the Bifrost. Laufey appeared with two Jotuns, a wicked smile on his face.

"Father. Welcome to Asgard."

"Heimdall! Open the Bifrost!" Thor screamed to the sky, but nothing happened. He didn't know Heimdall is frozen at the Rainbow Bridge.

"He would open it if he could. I fear the worst." Thor looked at others.

"Then we're trapped here forever." Volstagg frowned.

"Then I suppose we'd best start settling into our new lives. Are all earth maidens as fair as you?" Fandral turned to Darcy and sent her a charming smile. 

"No." Darcy simply replied, crept up a bit by Fandral's smile.

"Heimdall!" Thor tried again, desperate.

Heimdall heard him, but couldn't move. Two Frost Giants were standing at either side of him, so he needed to do it quickly. He concentrated all his might to free himself from the ice and as he did, he killed both Giants with his sword. Weakened by the ice and fight, he stumbled to the Observatory only to stuck his sword into the control panel and opened the Bifrost.

Neilrosa and Asgardians were losing hope when suddenly the Bifrost exploded down from the sky. They all smiled and ran to it, leaving Thor and Neilrosa with Coulson.

"Know this, son of Coul. You and I, we fight for the same cause -- the protection of this world. From this day forward, count me as your ally. If you return the items you have stolen from Jane Foster." Neilrosa, now in her favourite armour of Japanese style,  chuckled and raised her eyebrows at Coulson, nudging him with her elbow. 

"Not stolen. Borrowed." Jane shot him a glare and he gulped.

"You'll get your equipment back. You're going to need it to continue your research... which, after today's events, SHIELD would like to fully sponsor. If that's all right with you." 

"Nice. And you two lovebirds hurry up, kiss already," Neilrosa winked at Thor and left them in private.

"Whatever fate lies before me, you are part of it." Thor kissed Jane's hand and looked into her eyes. Without hesitation, he pulled her closer and kissed her passionately, earning a wolf whistle from the young goddess. She was happy for him.

"He will return to you, promise." She called after Jane as nearly everyone disappeared in Bifrost and she was the last one to step into it.

They emerged on the other side to find Heimdall slumped over the control panel. 

"Get him to the healing room! Leave my brother to me." Thor ordered and ran out of the Observatory with Neilrosa.

"Next time, please don't leave my side in the battle. I fear that next time we won't be so lucky like today. I only thank my adamantium armour for saving my life." She said to him as they ran.

"You do not need to fear anything, we will fight the battles together." He smiled at her. Then he swung his hammer, grabbed her by the waist and they both flew to the palace.

Meanwhile, Laufey found Odin's chambers and entered, leaving dead guards after himself. Frigga stood at Odin's bedside and with all the commotion outside the door, her sword was ready at her side. As the Jotun King entered, she swung the sword at his shoulder, but he only swatted her angrily. 

He came around to Odin, bent over him and opened his eyelid to look into his eye. An ice blade formed in his hand.

"It's said you can still see and hear what transpires around you, even in this state. I hope its true, so that you may know your death came by the hand of Laufey." He raised the blade, but a blast of energy hit him, sending him to the wall. 

Loki was standing in the doorway with the Gungnir ready.

"And your death came by the son of Odin." As he said that, another blast his Laufey, killing him. Frigga waked up and saw it all, ran to her son and hugged him.

"I swear to you, mother, they will pay for what they've done today. I will end the Jotun threat, now and forever! And I will make you proud." Loki's moment of glory wasn't long as Thor and Neilrosa burst in.

"Thor! Neilrosa!" Frigga exclaimed, happy to see both of them and cupped Thor's face in her hands. Neilrosa sent her a small smile, even though she was beaten up. The brothers were glaring at each other, only if the look could kill.

"Why don't you tell her? How you sent the Destroyer to kill our friends? To kill me? To kill Neilrosa?" He exclaimed, pointing at Neilrosa two, who already had two swords at either of her sides.

"It must have been enforcing Father's last command." Loki simply shrugged.

"You're a talented liar, brother. Always have been."

"It's good to have you back. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to destroy Jotunheim." Suddenly Loki fired Gungnir at Thor, sending him through multiple walls. Neilrosa raised her swords and ran at Loki, dogging another blast and slashing at his stomach. he blocked her blow with the spectre and kicked her legs. Even on her knees, she freed one sword and was ready to s***h at Loki's side when he turned the Gungnir and hit a side of her head hard. She held her head, a pulsing pain shot through it, making her see black spots. Loki used it to ran out of the room and to Observatory. 

Frigga was immediately at princess's side, helping her to stand up.

"I can't waste time here. I need to find Thor and stop Loki." A sound of firing Bifrost caught their attention and Thor ran into the room.

"We must go." He took Neilrosa from his mother and they flew back to Bifrost. As they stepped in, they saw the energy frozen, coming from the control panel.

"All these years and no one's ever dared to use it as a weapon." Thor went to destroy the ice, but Loki shot him with Gungnir.

"You can't stop it. The Bifrost will build until it rips Jotunheimapart."

"Why have you done this?" Neilrosa asked the rage in her voice was intense.

"To do what Father never could. To destroy their kind forever. When he awakens, he'll see the wisdom of what I've done." 

"He won't! You can't kill an entire race!" Thor screamed at him, hammer ready at his side.

"What is this newfound love for the Frost Giants? You, who would have killed them all with your bare hands." Loki laughed at him.

"I've changed."

"So have I. Fight me." Loki hit Thor with Gungnir again. Thor swung his hammer and grabbed Loki by the collar, taking the fight outside so Neilrosa could try to destroy the control panel.

"Is the throne really worth what you've done? What you would become?"

"I never wanted the throne. I only wanted to be your equal. Now fight me!" Thor didn't want to fight him, but Loki's firing was unstoppable.

"I will not fight you, brother."

"I am not your brother. I never was."

"Loki, this is madness..."

"Is it?" He fired again and Thor dodge it. He was trying to buy Neilrosa enough time. She was to take out the sword by hand, but it was completely frozen in. A fire sword appeared at her hand and she swung it, hoping for the best. As it connected with the ice, the fire vanished and only smoke was left coming from the sword. She looked helplessly at her hands but tried one last time with a lightning spear. She thought maybe lightning could destroy frozen energy. 

Thor fought Loki on the bridge, trying to stop him.

"What happened to you on earth that turned you so soft? Don't tell me it was a woman." Thor silence was an answer for him.

"It was. Perhaps when we're finished here I'll pay her a little visit myself." That angered Thor and his hammer collided with Loki's sceptre which sent them flying. When Thor got up, he saw looking dangling from a side of the bridge.

"Thor! Help me!" Thor ran to him, tried to grab his hand but it went through Loki's. The real Loki appeared behind him and as Thor turned, he stabbed him to the chest, lifted him from the ground and hurled him across the bridge. 

"Thor!" Neilrosa's voice sounded from the Observatory as she ran to his side. Loki's figures enveloped them, trapping them in a circle.

"I was always more clever than you."

Thor grabbed Neilrosa's hand as she was about to stand and fight and said.

"Yet still not clever enough." With that he summoned lightning with his hammer and knocked out each one of the Lokis, leaving only the real one. The blast sent him flying and knocked the Gungnir out of his hand. Neilrosa is quickly at his side, with a sword at his neck.

"I'm sorry, Thor. I tried but that energy is unstoppable." She said, her eyes looking worriedly at him. He passed them, put Mjolnir ar Loki's chest and stoped before the Observatory.

"Look at you, the Mighty Thor. With all your strength, what good does it to you now?"Loki laughed even though he couldn't get up. Neilrosa didn't know what to do, she was hopeless. Thor's eyes flickered and a plan was born in his head. He knew that if it will work out he won't see her again. He extended his hand and the hammer came flying.

"No Thor, don't do it!" The princess screamed, she saw the look on his face. But he started banging his hammer at the Rainbow Bridge.

"Stop! What are you doing?! If you destroy the Bridge, you'll never see her again!" Outside of the corner of her eye, Neilrosa could see how Loki grabbed the Gungnir and went for Thor, but before she could react, the bridge broke and the energy from it shoved them away.

Neilrosa luckily landed on the safe side, but those two no. Thor and Loki went flying go the space and all of them though it's over when a strong hand grabbed Thor's leg.

Odin Allfather came to rescue them, finally awake from his Odinsleep. Princess rushed to help too and grabbed Thor's other leg. Loki was hanging on Thor's hand but it was slippery. He looked at his father, his brother and his fiance one last time and let go.

"No!" Thor and Neilrosa screamed, but Odin just whispered it. They all were watching as Loki is disappearing into the hole in space. As they dragged Thor up, he has fallen in his father's arms, drained of his power and tired.

"It is over," Odin said to both of them.

Neilrosa was looking from the balcony in Asgard's palace, dresses in a simple sleeveless dress hanging around her neck and shoulders, not exactly ready to have a party right now. Frigga joined her and they stand in silence, no words were necessary.

The Warriors Three were enjoying it, telling stories, eating and drinking. Only Sif noticed the two silence figures away from them and approached.

"My queen, your highness. I am so sorry for your loss." She bowed her head as they turned to her.

"Thank you, Sif." Frigga smiled and took Sif's hand appreciatively. Neilrosa smiled too and accepted her hug.

"How is he?" Frigga asked as she looked at her son.

"He mourns for his brother. And he misses her. The mortal." Goddess replied, her eyes never leaving Thor. He got up and left the room.

"He will need his friends now more than ever." Frigga looked at both of them and they nodded.

Neilrosa found him at the Rainbow Bridge with Heimdall. 

"Even though there is no Observatory anymore, it's still a beautiful view." She smiled softly and put a hand on Thor's shoulder. He covered it with his and squeezed it.

"Can you see her?" he asked Heimdall.

"Yes."

"How is she?" Heimdall smiled as he saw Jane running around in the diner, with all kinds of equipment, in hope that they will help her find Thor.

"She is looking for you." Neilrosa gave Thor a reassuring smile and looked at the distance, knowing that adventures are waiting for them.
