Xavier was shut out mercilessly by Rebecca.
He touched his nose ruefully, letting out a soft chuckle. She truly, as expected, didn't take a liking to him.
Xavier didn't linger. He turned and walked downstairs.
However, after a few steps, he suddenly stopped, slowly turning around at the bottom of the stairs. He stared at Rebecca's room, his brow furrowed.
