Genalise

“Your boy did good.” April said. “And Vince did so good on the guitar solo with Doug. f**k, I think I’m in love.”       Genalise chuckled. She had the VIP pass around her neck and she was ready to meet the guys. Her heart was racing and her hands were clammy as the line began to move. The guards checked everyone’s VIP passes before he let them into the room. The girls walked into the room and were greeted with pizza and sodas, plus the band members of Sins From Sinners. Kian turned around and noticed the girls walking in.       Kian extended his arm and of course, there was always a girl that wanted to go to him. A beautiful blonde pushed through April and Genalise and entered his embrace.   “Oh my god baby, your voice is so amazing.” She told him. “Thank you, Darling.” He said, his British accent coming out.   Two more girls came to Kian’s side. April turned to Genalise and smiled wide. Genalise smiled and nodded to her friend. April rushed over to Vince, who was leaning against the wall, drinking soda. Genalise watched as her and Vince hit it off right away. Everybody was talking to somebody, except Genalise. She moved to the couch and took a seat. Kian stopped talking to the other girls and moved over to her.   “You’re quiet, Beautiful.” He said as he took a seat next to her. “Can I get a name from you?” “Genalise.” She told him, trying to remain calm. “Genalise…. Damn, that’s a gorgeous name. So, Gen, how’d you like the show?”   Genalise smiled at him, then nodded her head.   “You guys did your thing out there.” Genalise told him. “It was really good.” “Is this your first concert?” “It is. We don’t normally go to concerts and stuff.” “We?”   Genalise pointed to April, who was still talking to Vince and Kian turned to April.   “You don’t party?” Kian asked her. “No.” April told him. “We barely go out.” “Vince, I swear she looks like a common partyer.”   Vince laughed before he took a bite out of his pizza.   “We’re actually in college.” Genalise said. “Oh, really?” Kian asked. “For what program?” “A police officer.” Genalise said.   Kian smiled at her, then he turned to April.   “You, too?” He asked her. “Yes, we’re in the same program.” April admitted. “Damn, I think we might have to watch these two.” Vince said. “I think so, too.” Kian said, putting his arm around Genalise.   Genalise blushed and looked the other way. Her insides screamed from being close to Kian Sins and to be honest, she thought the night couldn’t get any better. Until, the blonde came from before came and sat on the other side of him. She touched his leg and Kian turned to her.   “So, when are you free?” She asked him. “Sweetheart, I’m never free.” Kian told her.   She tilted her head to the side and stared at him.   “I follow you everywhere.” She said. “Well, me and my friends do.” “Whoa, where are you from?” Logan asked. “Cleveland, Ohio.” Another girl said. “Holy shit.” Doug said, stuffing his face. “You been to all the tour dates?” “Everyone.” She said. “My mom said I could take her car, so me and girls are here.”   Kian nodded his head at her.   “So, what did you have planned?” He asked her. “To be honest, I think you already know.” She said.   Vince whistled and Kian turned his head to him, laughing in the process. Genalise rolled her eyes at the girl’s response. Like how desperate can you be?   “So, you’re talking about that kind of party?” Kian asked her.   She nodded her head and Genalise was done. She was about to get up from the couch, but Kian caught her before she could move. He pulled out his phone and handed it to her. She took it and looked at him.   “Put your number in.” He told her. “I’ll give you a call later, okay?” “Um… Okay.”   Genalise put her number into his phone and handed it back to him before she walked over to April, who was flirting with Vince.   “So, you really like me?” Vince asked. “Yes, I do.” April said. “I swear, if you were mines, I would…. Oh hey, girl.”   Genalise stood next to her, raising an eyebrow at her best friend.   “I’m not going to ask you to finish that sentence.” Genalise said. “It wasn’t for your ears.” April blinked at her friend. “Why aren’t you over there with the Sins?” “He’s busy. Can we go?”   April smacked her lips and stared at her best friend.   “Please, go talk to him for a few more minutes.” April begged. “Ugh, fine.” “Thank you.”   Genalise turned and walked back to the couch. She sat down next to Kian and he turned to her.   “Am I boring you?” He asked her.   She looked at him and shook her head. Kian was never boring to her, but the chick he was with was just being a hoe and she didn’t want to hear it. The girl got up from the couch and walked to the door with her friends.   “I’ll see you later?” She asked him. “Yeah, I’ll call you.” He told her.   She eyed Genalise and rolled her eyes before she walked out of the room with her friends. Once she closed the door, Genalise had Kian’s full attention. He gave her a warm smile and she returned one back.   “Are you hungry?” He asked her. “No thanks.” She told him. “You sure? There’s pizza and soda.”   She continued to stare at him, then she nodded her head. He got off the couch and helped her up. Logan, Doug and Dante were by the table with girls as well, chatting and eating at the same time. Kian led Genalise to the table and he gave her a plastic plate with two slices of pepperoni pizza and a can of Sprite.   “Thank you.” Genalise said to him before she began to eat the pizza.   Kian walked behind her and put his arm around her waist.   “You’re gorgeous.” Kian whispered into her ear.   Genalise put the plate down and turned around to face him. He leaned his face close to hers, ready to kiss her, when the door opened up.   “Time for your company to leave.” The woman said. “We have to get you guys to Cincinnati in four days and you’re wasting time.”   Kian nodded his head and he released Genalise. Genalise blushed and looked in the other direction.   “It’s time for me to leave.” He told her. “I know.” She said. “Thank you for giving me the opportunity to meet you.”   He caressed her cheek and smiled at her.   “No problem.” He told her.   April and Genalise walked towards the door and the woman glared at them as the two walked out, making Genalise nervous as hell as she passed her on the way out. As the two made it down the hall, April was the first to speak up.   “What the f**k was her problem?” She asked Genalise. “I don’t know, but I think that was their manager.” Genalise told her. “I don’t give a f**k who she was. She needs to fix her attitude.”   The two walked outside of the stadium and saw that the parking lot was cleared out.   “Good, saves us from traffic.” April said as they walked to April’s Silver Chrysler 300 that her dad bought her for her birthday.   The two rushed to the car and got in. April started the car, then turned to her friend.   “Did you have fun?” She asked Genalise.   Genalise smiled at her friend and smiled. She kept thinking about how they were this close to kissing.   “I did.” Genalise said. “I finally got to meet Kian and I’m so happy.”
