Savannah POV (Same as previous chapter but her POV)
Emmett had met me a mile from the border or the pack and drove to a diner, so I could eat. After we ate, we rode even further away from the pack, and I was feeling better and happier. Even Bella was happier and, saying, “I always knew we could trust him, and you did too, Vannah.” I replied and said, “yea, I just didn’t know why, but I’m glad I know now and that we have trusted him.” Once we got to neutral territory and to a restaurant I know I felt the auras of different supernatural creatures and I tensed up on high alert. Emmett linked me and said, “calm down your safe here these supernatural live here peacefully they knew your parents.” I calmed down but kept my guard up, and then I heard someone say, “my oh my is that Emmett Laurent come to see this old hag.” Emmet in turn said, “Dahlia my dear you are no hag you still look like a teenager making me look old.” They hugged, and she said it was good to see him then she noticed me and asked, “is this her.” He nodded and said, “can you watch her I must go back and get her friend and her sibling out before they get mistreated as well.” “Now Emmett what have you got yourself into that you all seem to be running.” He replied saying, “not running Dahlia, I had to find her you of all people know I had to I gave my word. Those pups need someone because they are orphans and are treated worse than rouges. Now that Savannah is safe, I can get them out to safety.” She then said, “come on let’s get you fed and rested, so you can do what you have to do. There are a few messages for you that you need to read as well.”
We sat at a table near the back and Dahlia asked me what I wanted to eat, and I said, “I’d like some chicken strips with a large order of fries and barbecue sauce, a vanilla shake and Dr. Pepper no Ice.” She looked at Emmett and asked if he wanted his usual he only nodded in response. She then stepped away to the counter and came back a few minutes later saying our order would be brought out in 5–7 minutes. While we waited for the food, she handed Emmet a small notebook that had messages for him and said, “these have been left for whenever you ever did pass through or called.” He took it and read whatever was in the notebook while we waited for the food.
When the food arrived, Emmet turned to me and said, “Dahlia is going to watch over you while I go and get Julia and her siblings. Don’t go anywhere without her knowing. Here’s a phone. It has my number already in it. While here go by either Hailey or Vannah, please I don’t want to have to come back to clean up a mess.” I nodded and said, “I’ll go by Vannah, and I’ll stay here and listen to Dahlia. Besides, I can tell she could kick my ass if I got out of line.” Then he turned to Dahlia and said, “I will be back within 7 days, no later than 9 days. If you can reach Alexia and let her know I’m safe, I will be reach out as soon as I am back. Also, can you see who is safe they need to know they can come out of hiding.” Dahlia only nodded and said, “stay safe and don’t make me have to go clean up a mess.” He laughed at her response then got up and headed back to that retched pack.
Once Emmett left, Dahlia turned to me and said, “so, Vannah, after you eat I’ll show you around the hotel, my brother and I run it, and then I’ll take you to my place and get you settled in.” I nodded as I took a drink of my drink. I then asked her, “did you really know my parents and grandparents?” She looked at me and said yes, “I did. I moved here when your grandfather, Theo Kieran Gerard, was Alpha. He had yet to meet his mate at the time and we were friends. He always had a she-wolf on his arm. That is till he met his mate, your grandmother. She was a fierce warrior and Luna never letting anyone try to get over on her, not even Theo. I have a few photos of them from my younger years if you would like to see them.” “I’d like that very much, but can I ask how old you really are,” I asked her. She smiled at me and said, “I’ll tell you that later at my house. Now let me show you around.”
Dahlia showed me around the hotel, and it was nice, and then we went to her house. Once inside her house, she showed me around and then gave me directions to the room which would be mine during my stay. It was on the second floor, the first door on the right, and when I walked in I was in awe of it. The room was huge. It had a king-sized bed near a window which overlooked a small pond in the back. It had a sitting area with a fireplace with a flat screen TV mounted above it. The bathroom was just as amazing. It had a tub which could easily fit 5 people and the shower was like standing under a water fall. This room and bathroom reminded me so much of my room in the pack house before my pack was attacked all those years ago. I hadn’t even noticed I had zoned out till Dahlia snapped her fingers in front of my face saying she had to go out for about 30 minutes and not to leave the house.
