Emmett POV
When I arrived back the pack it was late. Luckily, I had reached out to an old friend who used a teleportation spell to help get me back to the pack before the party had completely ended. When Julia noticed me, she wasn’t sure it was me at first, but she looked extremely tired. If I hadn’t gone to my friend I wouldn’t have made it back till tomorrow or the day after, which was completely unacceptable to me. Once I typed up what was going to happen on my phone and I showed it to her, we went in and got a few hours’ worth of sleep. When Julia woke up she packed her bag and her sister's bag. I helped Luke pack his bag. They left before I did, but I had wheels, so I’ll get there before them and still have time to load my bike and strap it down. I waited about 30 minutes before they got to our meet-up point. I handed them each a sandwich and a bottle of water once they had gotten into the pickup.
Once everyone was loaded, I headed back towards my old pack territory. I told them to get some sleep. It was a long trip to our destination. When they dozed off, I called Dahlia and asked how things were going with Vannah. “She’s good. What about you? I heard you spoke with Hela to help you with a teleportation spell,” Dahlia said. “Yes, I did speak with Hela she owed me, so she helped me get back right as the brat’s party was ending. I’m headed back now with the pups and some news that Vannah needs to hear immediately,” I said.
After hours of driving and having to stop twice for gas and rest, we arrived back in neutral territory near my old pack. I saw Dahlia and Vannah in track clothes just entering the restaurant as I pulled in front of it and parked. The pups were just waking back up looking around somewhat nervous because I’m pretty sure they smell a lot of humans, but this is neutral territory and everyone is welcome. Besides, most humans in this town are drawn here because they have some sort of supernatural lineage. I looked over at Julia and said, “we’ve arrived while here. You will address me as uncle Emmett and Savannah is going by Vannah. You can use your middle name's okay.” She nodded and answered “okay” in a whisper that if I had been human I would have completely missed it. I know she’s nervous and scared, but things will be okay.
As we stepped into the restaurant, Savannah walked over and hugged Julia and her siblings and then hugged me and said, “thank you so much Emmett.” I laughed and said, “you don’t have to thank me. But why do you smell like you’ve been fighting a werebear.” She smirked and said, “I was, but he’s cool,” as she looked over her shoulder at a werebear that looked young but seemed to have an extremely strong aura coming off of him walked into the restaurant.
