Chapter 17

295 Words
Julia POV Dahlia showed us three rooms and told us to stay upstairs that they needed to talk about something very important that we were too young to hear about. So, we sat in what is essentially my room while here and watched TV till someone knocked on the door. I stood up to see who it was, and it was Savannah or Vannah as she’s going by here. I hugged her as she stepped in the room, then asked if we were okay and if we needed anything. I answered her, “we’re good Vannah, no we don’t need anything. Did Emmett tell you that he wants us to go by our middle names and wants us to call him Uncle Emmett while here.” “No, he didn’t, but honestly, I think that is a great idea,” she said to me. After that we sat and just talked about the drama I had seen at the pack the day before. She laughed and told me she was his mate and he rejected her, and that she accepted the rejection and left while he was hunched over in pain. I was surprised because I heard rejection can be very painful and can also kill some that aren’t strong enough to survive it. I am seeing how strong she is, that she’s not even feeling any of the effects of the rejection I’m happy for her. I just hope my mate wasn’t from that pack, but I’m only 15 years old, so I won’t know for at least another 3 months or so when I turn 16 as some wolves start finding their mates around that age. Some don’t find their mates till they turn 18 or even later on in a wolf's life.
