Tyler POV

Today is my 18th birthday and inauguration party to become Alpha and I can’t wait. I woke up early and head down for breakfast when I caught the scent of cinnamon, lavender and chocolate, all the things I love, but when I feel who it is coming from, I get angry, and I pull her aside roughly, which Dante doesn’t seem to like. He’s begging me not to reject her because she’s precious to us. I didn’t listen and asked her for her full name. Once she gives it to me, I say, “I Tyler Terrance Future of Alpha of the Stormbreaker Pack, reject you, Savannah Hailey Michaelson Gerard, as my mate and Luna.” Savannah in turn smiles and says, “I Savannah Hailey Michaelson Gerard, Daughter of Alpha Marcel Vincent Gerard of the Shadow Moon Pack accept your rejection.” When she finished that sentence, I dropped to my knees feeling heartbroken while she just walked away and out the pack house it took me about 15 minutes to recover from that, but I was glad no one had been around to see that, or I would have been humiliated. I didn’t know she was an Alpha’s daughter. I wonder if my dad knew this, so I rushed to his office once I was able to recover.

Dad, did you know that Savannah was the daughter of the late Alpha Marcel Gerard? When my father looked up surprised, he said, "no I didn’t. When we found her in the remains of the shack, I assumed she was either a warrior’s daughter or a guard’s daughter. That would explain why she would never submit to me or anyone of high rank, but how do you know this son?" I rejected her as my mate and Luna and when she accepted the rejection she said her full name and that of her father, accepting the rejection. Damn boy, you should have accepted her. You know male wolves become stronger due to their mates, and she would have made you stronger. You need to go after her now. No, I hate her, and I am taking Nora as my chosen mate. My dad’s eyes flashed, meaning he was angry and went back to normal and said, "very well, you better hope she makes the pack stronger." With that I walked out of his office, which will be mine soon enough.
