Chapter 8

Tyler POV

After I spoke to my father about rejecting my mate Savannah, I made it back up to my room and was about to shower when Nora came in my room. I was in a foul mood, but she always knew how to help me out. She hugged me and kissed me, asking me, “are you ready for tonight babe, I know I’m ready to become your Luna.” I just nodded while Dante growled in my head saying he wanted his mate, that he didn’t want this slut of a she-wolf as a mate. It was so bad I was getting a horrible headache, so I said, “Nora babe why don’t you go to the spa and relax and get ready for tonight.” She smiled wide and kissed me and said, “I’ll see you later babe.” Once she left, I took a shower so that I could try to calm down and talk to Dante, but he wouldn’t listen he said I would pay for making him lose his mate.

After my shower, I got dressed and ready for my party and my inauguration to become the Alpha. My mother and father have sent out invitations to all our allies, whom some have daughters that are pretty, some are easy lay. I should know, having gone with my father to learn the ropes these past 2 years, I’ve had my fun with some of them. As I walked out to start greeting guests, my best friend and future Beta Zack was there as well, flirting with one of the pack sluts, Isobel.

While greeting our guests, one of our Omega’s bumped into me and Nora, being Nora, slapped her and told her to leave and not try to be near me. That I was her mate and she should know her place. This, of course, causes some of the other Alphas to murmur with their respective beta’s and Lunas about the mistreatment of a pack member. I pulled Nora aside and had to promise her a shopping trip if she calmed down in front of guest. She agreed to this, and we continued to party even though I just wanted to leave and track down Savannah, as I found out that after accepting my rejection, she left the territory going east. Dante wants his mate. I just want to chain her in the dungeon. Maybe that will calm my damn wolf. Yet I continue to act like I’m having a good time mingling and making small talk. The party seemed to go on forever, but the day ended soon enough. After I announced my Beta Zach, he took the stage with me, but I couldn’t bring myself to actually announce Nora is my Luna. When the party was over, and I was in my room, Nora stormed in pissed. “How could you humiliate me like that, Tyler, and not announce me as your mate and Luna. Have I not given myself to you plenty of times you promised me and what the hell was that stunt with that slut omega earlier?!” “Nora, not now, I’m just relaxing before I have to conduct the pack run,” I answered her, annoyed and pissed that she dared raise her voice at me. She wouldn’t leave my room, so I left my room to get ready for the pack run.

As I got to the field, everyone in the pack was gathered and ready for me to lead my first pack run. As I tried to shift, Dante said, “I won’t allow you to shift till you find my mate and apologize to her and make her our Luna.” As my father got closer to me, I had to lie and say that I thought someone slipped me something that was preventing my shift. My father, of course, knew I was lying, but he told the pack my lie and my pack believed it and was angry someone would attack their Alpha. I went back to my room and took a shower and went to sleep.
