When Anthony made it to the shop, his heart almost stopped. It looked so much worse than what had been said over the phone. The front of the shop had been blown open and bits of the store was everywhere. Part of the shop was still on fire and Daniel was holding Charlie to him. The tears he had been shedding evident on his ash covered face. "No" Anthony felt fear he didn't know existed. Approaching Daniel he could see Charlie was breathing abnormally and there was blood coming from his side. "Daniel?" Anthony didn't want to ask the two questions that were nagging him. Daniel Looked up at Anthony and He could tell that one of the answers he already knew. Dropping to his knees he whispered "Please don't tell me she's gone." His own tears were evident in his voice.
Daniel didn't speak for a minute "I.. I honestly do not know." He said his voice shaking. "They took her to the hospital and I wasn't allowed to go with." Daniel glanced down at Charlie "We need to get him to the vet, he fought for her." Anthony nodded his head and helped Daniel get up. Looking around he could tell that those injured where already gone and those left were giving statements.
"Have they talked to you yet?"
"They just finished before you walked up to me." Daniel said looking back at the shop. "She loved that place."
"So did I." Anthony remembered the day they had walked through, even though Andrea could not see, she had more Vision of what to do than anyone else did. He could tell that because of the booths a lot of people had been saved from the blast. "Its like she knew what would save people." Anthony whispered to himself.
"I think she knew a lot more than any of us did." Daniel answered "she made sure the kitchen was able to keep an explosion in and contained or to keep one out."
Anthony remembered this. When she first suggested it, he thought shew as crazy, but she always had a way to give reason for what she asked for. Seeing what he had, he was grateful she did have that hind sight. "Anthony," A voice called out through the crowd as they were about to get into his car. Looking up he saw Carlos, The beta of the pack he had invited.
"Carlos," Anthony said the sadness entering his voice "I am so sorry, I hope your pack understands that we did not see this coming, and we will find out who did it."
"We know who did it." Carlos said, he looked very angry. Not at Anthony but the person who had done it.
"Who was it?" Anthony asked getting angry. He vowed he was going to kill who ever it was if they did not die in the blast.
"Her mate," Daniel whispered. Anthony looked at Daniel like he had grown three head. 'Her mate?' Anthony thought 'There's no way!' For a mate to hurt their other half it would cause an intense pain in them that would eventually make them want to die. The good thing is if one mate harms the other, the bond immediately severs and the goddess gives the one who was injured a chance to find someone who will treat them the way they needed and deserved to be treated. Daniel took a deep breath in before he responded "I'll explain everything, but we need to get Charlie to the vet, he's getting worse." Anthony nodded his head, told Carlos to tell all those who are not to injured to go to the pack house, he wanted to make sure that they would be safe.
"Explain what happened while I drive." Anthony said. he was not giving Daniel another option, Anthony needed to know why. Daniel took a deep breath in hugged Charlie and started explaining.
Before the explosion
Andrea had a hug smile on her face as they were having their conversation. Her beautiful dirty blond hair had slight streaks of red in it and they did not look out of place at all. Her hazel green eyes had a slight haze in them from the trauma that had happened to her so long ago, and her skin was still evenly tanned. Daniel could not understand how that was possible, she spent more time inside that he did but she looked like she had been outside all her life. While they were talking he could see her eyes glaze over and a smile tug at her lips. "He's here," She whispered. Daniel almost thought she was in a trance as she got out of her seat and went to the front of the shop. Daniel had gotten up to see the man who had been coming into the shop for a while now. Daniel didn't like the feeling he gave him. Every time Daniel looked at him he could feel a pain start in the back of his head. As if something was trying to break through. When that happened his head would start to pound creating a headache. Knowing that there was nothing he could say to warn her about what he was feeling, Daniel turned to get some pain medications from the kitchen "Welcome.." Andrea's voice sang as the door opened, and then a deafening shot rang through the shop. Daniel Immediately turned back around. There was the man Andrea had claimed was her mate, holding an M9 Beretta. The look in his eyes told Daniel that he was on a war path. Charlie shot past Daniel and Jumped at the man causing him to fall to the ground. Daniel rushed to Andrea as she fell to the floor and tried to get her away from the man. Another shot rang out and Charlie yelped jumping away from the man.
The look in the mans eye was bordering crazy "they said they would see you again my dear Andrea, Now they will be happy to know I've finished what they started. A few more shots rang out and people were screaming trying to get away from the spray of bullets coming from the man. "Don't worry my dear I'll be joining you soon and I'll make sure you never have a peaceful afterlife." The man sounded crazy to Daniel. Not knowing how many shots Andrea had taken he still tried to get her as far away from the man as possible. The heat was the first thing Daniel Felt, the second was the ear shattering sound that caused him to cover his ears. Next the Shock of the blast blew him and Andrea into the wall at the far end of the shop.
