Fated to be mated

Dinner

I pull up to the pack house with Trent and Kane. As I do I sigh, my dad texted me when I was at school to let me know that their daughter wasn't with then this morning. So they decided to have a dinner tonight to meet the nee pack members instead. And of course Me and Kane must attend.

Today has been the worst, I have to attend this stupid welcoming dinner. And Talia, a chick I just met doesn't even know me but hates me. I know it shouldn't bug me but it does. I just can't shake it. I hope out of the car and head to the pack house with Trent and Kane.

As we walk in we all are pretty bummed. We were going to go to a party and get laid tonight. We will now be late to the party. I start to head in the kitchen with Kane. As we near it, I here unfamiliar voices talking with my parents. I guess they are here early. Which is good cause then it means we can maybe still make it to the party tonight on time.

As I walk into the kitchen I stop dead in my tracks. "I can't Believe it," I said aloud, earning me a confused look from eveyone in the room. Standing in from of me was a red headed family of five. That is when I realize Talia who looked angry as hell was sitting at the end by Nicolas the current Beta. He had her arm around her and for some reason my wolf Fang was angry seeing this. I block him out and tried to ignore it.

"Sylas!.... SYLAS!" I heard my mom yell, snapping me out of my trance. "Come sit down here and stop staring!" my mom said. Kane had already sat down at the table, Glaring at Talia probably still made for disrespecting me at school. He is a good friend and Beta, I thought to myself as I sit.

"These are the Devarios! Joe Devarios, Marie Devarios, their sons Matt and Mark. And their lovely daughter Talia." My mother said happily intoducing us. "You have already met the Alpha and myself, but this is your future Alpha and Beta. My son Sylas and his best friend Kane, Nicolas's son." my mom introduced with a smile.

I keep my eyes focused on Talia. As I she keeps looking over at me. Then I feel Kane grab my shoulder. I look over at him as he leans forward. "Talia keeps looking at you embarrassed, guess since she isn't seventeen she couldn't tell you have Alpha blood and that's also why we couldn't tell she was a wolf." He whispered. I just nod at him, I wonder if he is right. Is she embarrassed?
