Hanna POV - The tribe

1152 Words
When I wake up I make sure Da'r's wounds are not infected and I am amazed at how fast he is healing. -You really do heal fast, I say to him looking into his eyes. Is everyone like you? -Not everyone. My mother was from a tribe that healed very fast. I inherited this from her. I nod and prepare for the trip. Once everyone is ready we the cave and the Little Forrest behind. We walk for what seemed like an hour on a rocky desert when I started to see a green mountain. Mountains here have really strange colors. When we finally get close to the mountain I see a huge open cave up in the green mountain, about twenty-thirty meters up. It a huge cave, that spreads around the mountain. I see what looks like stalactites and stalagmites united forming big columns at the mouth of the cave. It is beautiful. And right there is Da'r's home. -How do we get up there? I ask. We don't have wings like you, I point out. -You don't need wings. We have a tunnel from the base of the mountain that goes up to where the tribe is. When we, finally, get to the base of the mountain I see the tunnel he is talking about. It is an entrance of the mountain, not very large, probably to stop any unwanted creatures to venture in. And it goes up to the big cave in the mountain. Once we are up I stop in my tracks. It is ... beautiful. There are huts everywhere and fruit trees and even vegetables growing from land patches. And I see a beautiful waterfall with a pool close to the tunnel. The huts have a round shape and beautiful colored. Green, yellow, white, and red are the chosen colors for the huts. They seem made out of rocks or clay and have a wooden roof. Little gardens are next to each hut with what seems like flowers and herbs. I see a strong alien girl working in what looks like a little smithy. Others are tanning skins and some are making food. I even see some working on clay pots. They don't lazy around, they work and work together. -Oh, Da'r, I say, this is so beautiful. And I take his hand in mine. -Show us your people, your home. And then we got closer to what seems to be the center of the village. People noticed us and start getting closer to us, curiosity showing on their faces. I became a bit nervous because now I am starting to think what if they don't like us or don't want us here, then what? And just then Da'r squeezes my hand. It's like he felt my anxiety and wanted to reassure me. - Don't worry, my people will love you. And then he faces his tribe and talks like a true Alpha. -I am sure you all know that there is a new tribe, that came from the stars. K'li and D'vv brought a young male that was wounded. They will stay with us and live with us. H'na is my hearts, he tells them looking at me. We might have hope for a new life. I hope you will make them feel welcomed and have patients while they learn about our world. I look at them and see that some have utter shocked and disbelief looks on their face, while their hand goes to their chest. I look at the mysticals and I see the look on their face and I know that more than one alien and werewolf found a mate this day. After we go see Seth, who is in the healer hut, with K'li.V'rk, the healer told Seth that he has to stay in bed for a week. -So, how are you feeling, kid? I ask him. How is your leg? -Still hurts but it is much better. That healer worked a lot on me, he tells me. - So, what did he do, shake a stick around your leg? I joke. -No, he laughs. He actually heals me with his spirit. He let his spirit get into my body and worked on my wounds. It was the most interesting thing I have ever experienced. I am amazed. I never heard of such things. The healer comes in and he looks upset. -You need to let the boy rest. How is he going to get well with all of you here? he asks us with a scowl on his face. -We will be back soon when the big angry healer is not here. We will bring food, I tell him laughing. I look at the healer but he doesn't look happy at all. After that, they hold a celebration for us. They bring fruits and vegetables that I have never seen or tasted. Some are sweet, others are salty and some are bitter. A strange animal is roasted in a fire pit. Music and strong drinks fill in the day. We are given gifts of clothes and other items. All of the x'lems are genuinely happy for us to be here. They make sleeping arrangements for us. And when then moons are up that night we gaze up at them. I am seated next to Da'r' around a campfire. -That is so beautiful, I tell him looking up the moons. -Yes, the three sisters always guide and protects us. -That's how you call them, the three sisters? I ask him. -Yes, how do you call them? Da'r' asks me. -Moons, when calling them moons. -I like moons too, but for my people, they are the three sisters, he tells me after a few seconds. "I like the moons here," Artemisia tells me. "I like them too. And our new life here. I think I am going to give Da'r and us a chance. I want to see how it is to have a mate." I can practically hear Artemisia leap with joy. -I would like to see your hut, I say to Da'r. I want to see where we will be living. He looks at me with an intense gaze and nods at me. He takes me by the hand and leads me to his hut. It's yellow with red and round, like all the other huts. Once he opens the door he lights some candles and I can see a bit of the interior. Close to the entrance is a working place where I see some knives and fishing nets. In the center of the hut I a cooking place with fire here. Baskets are neatly organized or hanged. And in the far end of the hut, I see a big rounded bed with a beautiful blanket. -I like your home, our home, I tell him. So cozy. -What is mine is yours. I am glad you approve of our nest.
