Da'r POV - My hearts

1176 Words
After D'vv and K'li left with the wounded pup I left with my hearts and Ka'r, Ja'k, and Sv'n. We take supplies from the cave that leads to the desert. We always leave supplies in caves or huts we build, and now I see how important is to have supplies because rescuing twenty-one persons takes a lot of supplies. We take a few more water skins, dried fruits and meat, the four spears, and two bows that were at the cave because H'na told me that her tribe doesn't have weapons. -Where did you get your weapons then? I ask her because not only she has a bow but she has a spear too. I see her lovely pale face turn red. Is she embarrassed? Women from my tribe turned a darker grey shade, but all the body when they were embarrassed but my sweet H'na did not turn all red, only her face. -When S'th and I were looking for help we came across a hut in the desert. I promise we did take too much. Here, take the weapons back. And proceeds to give me back the weapons. I stop her with a gentle touch. Oh, Great Spirits, she is so soft. How did they survive for so long is a mystery to me? -My hearts, where do your people come from? I ask her. She sighs and looks at me with dark brown eyes. Never have I seen more beautiful eyes. -It is a long story, she starts, and then she starts telling about her planet, the "hoomans" that are killing her people, and how they have been sold to others that can fly a ship in the sky. My poor mate has been through so much. I want to take her in my arms, hide her so that no one can ever harm her again. -So, how come you guys have translators? No offense but you doesn't seem to know too much about technology. I don't always understand what my hearts is telling me. I wonder what this te-k-na-lad-gy is but I will ask her later. -Five planet-turns ago a ship with a tribe from another planet landed next to where my tribe lives. They first gave us translators so that we can talk and then they explain that they too fix their ship and asked if we helped them. We helped them with what they needed, let them use our forge, shared our food and water. Not everyone received translators, only seven of us but I am glad to have received one because I can to you, my lovely hearts, I tell her while I look into her eyes. She blushes again and looks at a dead tree from the desert. -I am glad to be able to talk to you too, she whispers. We talk for a while without talking and thinking of the tribe of H'na. I will have to make sure all of them have food, water, a hut. They will have to learn to survive here. And maybe, just maybe someone of the females will be mates to males that lost any hope of ever have a family. I have never thought to receive such blessing. -Do you think that more females will make our second heart beat? S'vn asks. I see H'na looking at me with a puzzled look. -I do not know, I say. We will have to wait and see. -What is it you are talking about? H'na asks. I sigh and try to explain as best as I can. -My people are disappearing. We had lost any hope of finding mates or having more kits, I say. -Kits? What are you referring to when you say kits? she asks. -Little ones, I say. -You are thinking that me and the others will be happy to be mates for you and your people and just spread our legs and pop-out pups for you? -But you are my mate, and if others will be mates for my tribe then we are truly blessed. -This is just ridiculous, she says. We are not even from the same planet. How can we be mated? How can any of you be mates for my kind? What about your women? I sigh. -There are a few females left. Only two mates couples and from those that aren't mated none are mates for the males, I explain. She looks at me with sad eyes and then with determination. -I am sad for your people but no one can force me or any of my kind to do anything that we don't want to do. We might not even remain here, she says. I just found her and she wants to leave me? Doesn't she understand that without her there is no reason for me to live? She is my hearts, the reason I now live and breathe. She is everything. Where ever she goes I will follow. -Where ever you go I will go. Without you, there is no reason to live, I tell her. -I need a bit of time. So much had happened to me, in just a short time, my lovely H'na tells me and I can tell she is sad. She told me about her family and how the "hoomans" killed her tribe. I felt sad during many seasons after my family died. -I understand your pain. My family died too and also Ka'r, Ja'k, and S'vn lost family, I say and I show my tribe males. We know how it is to lose someone you love. -Fleking orroks, S'vn says. -Who or what are orroks? H'na asks. -The orroks came to our planet many generations ago with a big ship and asked if they could live here. They were welcomed on G'tha, our planet, and we lived for a long time in harmony. But two generations ago they changed and they started killing us. We don't know why and they won't talk to us, I explain. -Oh, is all that H'na says. After walking for a while we are getting closer to the center of the desert and I spot a black rock thing there. I know there are no black rocks there so I wonder if this the ship in which my hearts and her people came. -There, H'na said and pointing to the black ship. That is where my people are. As we got closer rocks were thrown at us. One almost hit my H'na but I extend one of my wings and I stop it. -Got away, we don't have anything for you, I hear a voice coming from the ship and I growl. H'na touches my arm to get my attention. -It's ok, maybe they are scared. Let me, she tells me and goes in front of me. -Guys, stop with the rocks, it's me, Hanna. I bring help. -Hanna is that you? We are so glad you are alive, we thought that you are dead, I hear a female voice talking. And then my hearts goes and hugs her people.
