I jolt up , ripping my body away from Riven's warmth and slide out of bed , my eyes flying to Riven's and he raises a dark brow , rolling his eyes as he slowly gets out of the bed . I stumble toward the door on shaky legs , inhaling thin breathes and just as I go to lock the door , it swings open . Alison's blank face stares back at me , her eyes darting toward Riven standing behind me and goes over the unmade bed to Riven's bare torso before slowly trailing back to me . I feel my heart drop , shattering to pieces as I watch her expression , her face turning a sheet white and tears brimming on her red eyelids . "Ali—" I start , but fall silent when she raises her hand , a hollow , cold laugh slipping from her mouth as she watches us in disbelief .
