CHAPTER 13
The rain was falling with no forecast of stopping when Douglas spotted the large sign with the name of the farm on it. He left the highway, and went down a steep road full of muddy pools. Due to poor visibility and dangers that could be there, he chose to drive at a reduced speed. So that they wouldn't take great risks in the storm.
Douglas had driven 10 miles down the road when his phone rang.
"We just arrived at the property, apparently there are no people here. We will conduct another inspection to confirm what we believe. Meanwhile be careful, the chances of her being there are higher now" - the deputy asked.
"We will still go a little further. The road is very bad due to the rains. As soon as we are getting close we'll get in touch again." - Douglas explained.
