CHAPTER 19
Veronica woke up feeling the warmth of the sun coming through the window. She had fallen asleep without realizing it, and it seemed she had a long time of resting. After lying in bed for a while watching the ceiling and thinking about her next step, she got up and took a shower.
Douglas heard the noise of the shower running in the next room. She woke up. He noted with a fast acceleration of his heart. He would make the coffee and then they could talk peacefully, without daydreaming from either side. His deputy friend was already aware of the situation and everything indicated that it would have the expected outcome.
