Chapter 17

Chapter 17 RAVEN “Morning.” I greeted as I stepped out of the elevator that led to our base. My eyes dart towards the series of computers laid on the table. A big screen was displayed at the center of the room. And a center table filled with maps and documents. I am not just any biker. I am the leader of the Phantom. A bike gang known for trashing drug dealers, human traffickers, s*x slaves, and arms dealers. My job is to make sure they never sleep easily, my job is to make sure, none of the deals pull through. My job is to protect this town that has become my refuge since I ran here ten years ago. My job is to protect the girls, the women, the little boys in this town and outside this town, to prevent them from ever going through what I did. No one deserves to go through what I did. “Morning boss!” Luca waved at me, his white glasses sitting on the bridge of his nose. He is only nineteen but he is quick with his fingers, the king of computers. Hacks into anything that has a system. A boy I saved during my earliest years as the leader. Luca had nowhere to go and he begged to prove himself to me. He was going to be sold off by those bastards, make him work as a gigolo, or worse, stuff his body up with drugs and use him to ship it. “Morning!” The others greeted, while either glued to their laptops or a file. “Over here, shorty!” Jade called out to me, she was standing in front of the big screen, her eyes tracing the display of one of our biker criminals. “How is it going?” I asked, hands wrapped around my chest, eyes glued on the screen too. “He is in town, he came in last night. He hasn’t made any more yet but… Luca pulled some strange images from the CCTV footage from the highway and the tunnel at mid west…” She paused and showed me the full display of the images. “That’s his right-hand man over there. Also, look, the snake gang is also out… I think they have a shipment, we just haven’t figured out where or what.” The man on the screen with a scar on his face is Don Marco. A man in his late forties, tough and dangerous. He had black hair, like he tinted it or something. His green eyes remind me of a venomous snake. Don Marco is a renowned human trafficker. A very skilled one. He has done more trafficking than any of our small fries. This man is currently in ny town and if he is here it means trouble is here. I have never been able to deal with him because he never came to my town but now he is here. But he is not easy to catch, even if I do catch him, tying him to the crime would be almost zero to none. “Luca, any update on the file I asked?” I didn’t turn, I kept my eyes on the screen. “Working on it, boss. Trying to be careful so as not to alert anyone.” He responded. “Oh wait.., done!” “What file?” Jade asked. “The boss asked me to compile every single place Marco had been in the last fifteen to ten years and also find out everyone he might have worked with even though that her dead,” Luca explained. Luca’s findings popped up on the screen. A full display of Marco’s life. If you think selling women and men and kids was the craziest thing he has done, wait until you see what is on my screen. A mass murderer. There was a bombing that happened five years ago at a mall very close to an amusement park. There was a rumor that the police, SWAT, and even national intelligence were on to an operation. A drug and human smuggling operation. But this motherfucker planted bombs at the mall and even at the amusement park to divert the attention of the authorities. Over 500 people lost their lives and one hundred were paralyzed for the rest of their lives. This document was obtained illegally so the cops might not be able to use it but I know someone who can but first, I need to catch this bastard. “Call Aira.” Jade did and handed me the phone, “Hey pretty.” She muffled. “Tell me you have eyes on him,” I muttered, I turned to Luca and gestured for him to show me where Aira was. It didn’t take him more than two seconds for the big screen to have Aira on it. With a bralet, a pair of jean shorts, her pink hair let down, and a very long pair of boots. While Luca is our best hacker and information grabber. Aira is the best on-site. She just does it as a way of pulling from you exactly what she wants to hear. “I do have eyes on him. Stay on call.” She muttered and went silent. On the screen was Aira making her move, swinging her hips and waist as she sat next to Marco’s right-hand man. She grabbed a drink, which I am sure is a glass of water or juice because she hates alcohol. And in less than five seconds, she is already laughing and chatting with them. How on earth does she even do it? “I think I need to get laid before my big day tomorrow.” The man muttered. “Big day? Why? Is it your birthday? Is there going to be a party? Oh oh! A cake! Where, I wanna come… please.” She pouted, hands clasped together. “Well, we could call it a birthday but not mine, but a couple of kids. It’s not far away from here, it’s on a coast, do you like the sea?” Bingo! They are here to move children. And the transports would be on a coast. “Aira, that’s enough, Luca can figure it out from here. Come to base.” I instructed. “Eh! Kids? That’s boring and I hate the sea… You know what? I need to pee, give me a mom..” The man grabbed her hands, glaring at her, “Where do you think you’re going,”
