I woke up to 67 missed calls, 40 messages, and a whole lot of tiredness. I instantly passed out last night that I forgot to unmute my phone. I don’t get these many calls or messages in a day, so something must be up. I was just about to check them when I saw Colin’s name flash on the screen. Even though I didn't feel like talking to anyone right after I wake up, I knew I had to answer because this could be very important.
Me: Hey, Colin.
Colin: Oh, good you finally answered.
Me: Sorry, I just woke up and my phone was on mute. What’s up? I didn’t miss anything about work, did I?
Colin: No, Actually I called for a different reason. Have you checked the news or the Internet yet?
I instantly reached for the remote and turned the TV on.
