I have been Alpha of Red Blood pack for a little over 2 years now. I took over after my father was killed in a rogue attack. Today is my 23rd birthday and I don't feel like celebrating at all, to make it worse I have to go to Teal moon to celebrate the Alpha and Luna's baby gender reveal.

"Luke are you about ready to head out?" 

OMG "I getting ready now, Scott"

Scott is my Beta and my younger brother and my best friend. As much as I love him I hate him at the same time. I'm a year older than him and to most people they think we are twins. Scott found his mate on his 18th birthday and I was very happy for him. Sarah grew up with Scott and she is the daughter of our previous Beta. She does her female Beta job to the letter, she is over our female worriers and guards. Let me tell you she is not easy on them, if they don't train hard enough she works them longer. I'm glad I'm the Alpha because she can be very strict about training.

"Scott lets go and get back home" I told him

"Man your in a mood today, by the way happy birthday" Scott replied

"Thanks but I would rather be doing my pack work than going to another gender reveal party, I know that as Alpha I'm forced to go but I've been to five of these in the last 8 months" I said trying to stay in a okay mood

"So why don't you just say your very busy and send you re-guards to the Alpha and Luna" 

Scott had a point and I could do that but then I was missing out on a chance to meet my mate if I didn't go.

We got into the back set of the SUV and started the 2 hour drive to the Teal Moon Pack. I have a few thing I want to talk to Alpha Nick about. I was going over the notes in my phone to make sure I had everything in order. Scott asked me a question and pulled me from my thought.

"what man I missed that?'

"I asked if you think your mate could be their tonight?"

I wished he was right "I don't know man, it's been 5 years since I turned 18 and I still haven't found her".

He didn't say any and I just closed my eyes to relax before I had to do the meet and greets of all the unmarked ranked females that would be attending.
