Helios' life was too close to darkness. The man lived in darkness when he was forced to be the strongest to lead his pack. In fact, his life was never free from fierce slaughter and blood splattered everywhere.
However, that morning, for the first time Helios saw light in his life. The light that was present in the form of a sweet girl named Aleena who had saved his life.
"Do you often accept strangers to stay at your house?" That was the question asked by Helios when he looked at Aleena who was sitting in front of him.
"You are the first person to stay at my house," Aleena answered, her hands still busy stirring the tea she was making. "My father usually only helps injured people and lets them go home after undergoing treatment."
"Then why did your father let me stay at your house?" Helios asked.
Aleena shrugged her shoulders briefly. "Maybe because he sympathizes so much with you who came in a full of wounds two days ago."
Helios had been spending the night in Aleena's simple house for two days. However, during those two days, Helios no longer met Federich Anderson, who seemed to have disappeared after treating his wounds a few days ago.
"Where is your father, Aleena? I don't think I've seen him since that day."
"Father is looking for some medical supplies in the capital. That's a routine he does if his medical supplies are low," Aleena explained. "I'm curious about one thing I really want to ask you."
"What is it? You can ask it now," Helios replied.
"Where are you from and where do you live now?"
The two hazel-colored eyes that looked like walnuts stared intently at Helios' face. The innocent gaze shown by Aleena seemed to explain that the girl had never encountered major problems that made her feel pain in her life.
The life that Aleena lived was certainly the opposite of Helios' life. If Helios was identical to darkness and cruel murder, then Aleena found a life full of light and hope for life. Helios is the destroyer, while Aleena is the healer of all destruction.
“I have no place to live. I have been moving around all this time,” Helios replied.
“Why do you have no place to live?”
Judging from his appearance, Aleena could conclude that Helios was a wealthy man. The clothes Helios was wearing when Aleena found him under the tree trunk were expensive. And the few cigars in the man’s trouser pockets were one of the choicest types of tobacco that had fantastic prices. There was no way Helios was too poor to be able to buy a house to live in.
“Because that is my life, Aleena. I live my life moving around in order to get the prey I want,” Helios replied casually.
“Prey?”
“Ah, I mean finding people who have done evil to me,” Helios said with a faint smile on his face.
“Do you have a family?” Aleena asked, full of curiosity.
Helios shook his head so that Aleena moved her body closer to the man. Her curiosity was soaring. Everything Helios said seemed to hypnotize Aleena at that very moment.
“My family used to be one of the most respected noble families. Even everyone in my city submitted to my father’s orders. However, they were all killed because of the malice of those damn people,” Helios explained with a distant gaze.
“Then now you are looking for the whereabouts of the people who killed your family?”
Helios turned to Aleena and pulled the corners of his lips into a smile. The girl frowned because she felt strange about what Helios was doing right now.
"Smart girl," Helios said, which made Aleena frown even more. "You're so smart that you immediately understood what I said."
"I was just trying to guess what you meant," Aleena replied.
"My family was killed in a strange way. Even until now, the bodies of my two younger brothers have not been found. Those people killed my family very cruelly," Helios said, continuing his story a few moments ago.
Aleena's facial expression changed. This time the girl showed a very real shock. The entire series of stories explained by Helios made the hair on the girl's neck stand on end. Just imagining it managed to make Aleena scared.
"Why did they kill your family?" Aleena asked curiously.
Helios chuckled before flicking Helios' forehead in annoyance. "Apart from being smart, it turns out you have a very high curiosity." “I’m sorry… you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.”
“They hate my family because my father is a very honest ruler. My father does not hesitate to give severe punishments to the rebels, then punish those who are dishonest towards the government.” Helios chose to answer Aleena’s question.
“So… your father is a King?”
Helios laughed again and again at the questions asked by Aleena. The girl looked like a child who had very high curiosity. The curiosity that was inside Aleena was expressed through her eyes that always looked curious. In Helios’ eyes, Aleena was truly adorable.
“Maybe you could say that. My father is the strongest leader in my place of residence,” Helios answered in the end.
“That means he is a king.”
Helios’ smile looked mysterious again, but unfortunately, Aleena did not catch the dangerous signal. Helios looked like a man covered in darkness who was present to disturb Aleena’s life, which was full of light.

Since he was little, Helios never had a warm family that treated him like a human being. Helios was formed into a cold-hearted leader who would not hesitate to raise his sword when any of his people broke the rules.
However, this time Helios was faced with something he had to conquer with great tenderness. His heart that had always been hard seemed to begin to erode and melt in front of Aleena. The man treated Aleena as if he were treating a newborn baby in this mortal world.
"How should I repay your kindness for taking care of me?" Helios asked as Aleena treated the wound on his back.
"Maybe you can take me for a walk out of this village. Actually, I'm bored because I never smell the city and only lock myself in this place," Aleena answered without awkwardness.
"Why did you choose to lock yourself in this village?"
Aleena, who was sitting behind Helios, certainly did not see the cruel expression shown by the muscular man. Without needing an answer from Aleena, Helios actually already knew the reason why the girl never left the village where she grew up.
The girl was a valuable item that had to be protected.
"Father never allowed me to leave this village. I don't understand the reason either," Aleena replied with a sigh of exasperation.
"I will show you a fun world," Helios said.
While the two were talking, Federich came with several straw bags filled with medicines that he had bought in the city center. The middle-aged man looked panicked as he entered his house.
"What's wrong, Father? Why do you look scared?" Aleena immediately approached her father.
"Wolves... a pack of wolves is attacking the village," Fderich said breathlessly.
Helios' eyes were round, and a red spark was visible for a moment. The man immediately reacted when he heard Federich say that a wolf pack had entered the village area.
This was unusual and Helios knew that there was a problem with his pack.
"Thank you for your kindness, Aleena. And Mr. Federich, I will never forget you."
After saying that, Helios suddenly got up and left Aleena and Federich, who were still silent and confused. Helios left suddenly, as if the man did not care about his body, which had not fully recovered.
And after the man left, the sound of wolves' groans echoed throughout the village.
