ZINNET'S POINT OF VIEW
I waited for the latter to cut the chains, so that when he did, I would use it against him. They were standing a few distances away from the fire.
"Cut only one side of the chain. I want the Luna to have a sight of her before she dies," Chuan said while concentrating his sight on me.
Immediately, the latter cut off the right side of the chain which was closer to them. I used it to swing over the fire and kicked Chuan before moving from the top of the boiling fire.
"Gather some wolves!" Chuan uttered while I was trying my best to break the chain with my teeth.
The latter covered his eyes and spread his hands, endeavoring to make some incantation. That is who they are, they are not only known for their cruelty, they are also known for their magical powers, members of the Alpha-dom.
I had to stop the latter from making incantation. If he succeeded, a large number of wolves would assemble there.
I stopped making my attempt and swung higher to the latter who was making incantations. I used my leg to pull his head while holding tight to the chain. I dragged him closer to the boiling fire while Chuan stared at me with a sight that I would rather refer to as enraged and astonished.
"Hey, what are you doing?" He brought his sword with the threat of attacking me.
"Believe me, if you don't stop this, I will make sure that your adoptive parents are killed!" He added, thinking that I would give in to his request! But no, never would I give in just like that. Both of them would end up making life difficult for me in the future if something is not done about them, so I will have to get rid of them now that I have the power to do so.
"Help!" The latter tried to scream while grabbing my legs with so much force.
My feet are so strong, stronger than he ever thought. Do they think that I will just let go because they were holding my parents captive? No, I am way smarter than they think.
I swung higher and released my prey which I was holding with my leg. He fell inside the boiling fire. I landed on the ground while Chuan stared at me surprisingly.
His lips trembling, his eyes clicking fast, he asked, "Who are you?"
That is a question I will never give an answer to. I wish I could have him killed just like how I did the other two, but he was holding a sword. He might cut my legs if I made such an attempt.
"Break this chain!" I said with our eyes focusing on each other.
He sniffed, "Zinnet, you have grown to be beautiful and strong too. Your father will be happy wherever he may be, now."
Was that a style to distract me? If so, then he doesn't know who Zinnet is. I talk less and act more.
"I was little when you killed my parents, that was why I was unable to save them. Now, I have grown. Eighteen years have passed so soon, I am matured and more developed. I know how to deal with my enemies, and that includes you."
Our eyes never ceased to leave each other; that is the scope of every warrior, eye contact!
But why the sudden grin on his face? I think he has done something unimaginable. He has a second alternative.
Only if they did not take my powers away from me. I would have read his mind or even shifted to a wolf.
They took it away through their evil manipulation and consultation.
"You don't know what I have in store for you. The Luna is on her way here!" I was astonished at hearing this. If the Luna sees me, I will never have the opportunity to get to the Alpha-dom. This is a destruction of all the plans I have been planning for eighteen years. No matter what, I won't let Chuan see the weakness in me after hearing about the Luna's emergence.
"Let her come. I will kill you both the same way you killed my parents. I am not in any way scared of monsters like you," I managed to say to him with an uproarious voice, trying to conceal my weakness.
As we both stared at each other, a sharp cut was made above my head. I felt a sudden release of the chain. Someone had cut them off!
I looked behind me and saw Amaya. My lovely friend, more than a sister, and a treasure to me. All appeared in her iron-made attire, her dark-colored hair, my friend doesn't give a care!
"Amaya, thank you!" Embracement was nothing but a distraction; that is what Master Zeun said to me. Hugging Amaya wouldn't solve the problem. Appreciating her will go a long way.
Chuan was astonished to the core after what happened.
"So your companion came to your aid..." He halted before adding, "Wait, Amaya, is she not the daughter of your father's best friend, Thai?"
I could see the anger in Amaya at sighting the person who also murdered her family.
"Of course, I am. I didn't die, I am still alive. I am alive to kill you!" Amaya said and attempted to attack him, but I clutched her fist. I gestured to her that there was no need for that.
"Amaya, let's escape from here. The Luna is on her way." But Amaya wouldn't give in just like that. Her hot temper has always been a problem for us, especially in achieving our goal.
"What are you saying Zin? I finally found the person who killed my parents, our families. Do you possibly expect me to let him go, just like that?" Amaya has always been like this. Once determined, she must accomplish her goal.
She brought out her sword and tried to make a flight over the boiling fire which separated us.
"Amaya!" I yelled, thinking she would stop this act of hers.
She raised her sword to stab Chuan when he said, "Do it! I dare you to do so, and I promise to cut the heads of Zinnet's parents!"
I was eased after seeing Amaya drop her sword.
"Come on, Amaya, let's go!" I screamed, attempting to make a turn to the other side when Chuan grabbed Amaya's hands.
"No more hide and seek! Today, I will kill you and eliminate you once and for all." He brought his sword. Amaya hit him with her elbow. She brought out her sword as well, and they both focused on each other.
"What if Chuan pushes Amaya inside the boiling fire? No, I have to do something about this."
Amaya dodged Chuan's cut and stood up only to make a flight and bounced on his head. It was the right time to act.
I flew over the fire and landed, slicing Chuan's back with my sword.
"Ugggh," he groaned with grief and fell flat on the floor.
"Come on, Amaya, let's leave here. The Luna is on her way." I said and attempted to run away when Amaya grabbed my hands and said, "What about your parents? Let's save them. They might be suffering the same way you were earlier."
I wanted to save myself first before coming back for them. I love them so much, but at this point, I am the one they seek, not my parents. They won't harm them.
Since Amaya is with me, let's make it snappy.
Chuan was still groaning on the floor when Amaya and I took a different route to find out where they hid my family.
"Zin, I found them."
I heard this from Amaya and rushed quickly to the room they were.
The sight of my parents and my little Nicho gave me relief. They were tied up with chains.
"Mom, dad!" I said, almost emotionally but controlled my emotions. Just like Master Zeun, warriors never cry.
"Come on, Zin, let's break these chains." Amaya said, and we started loosening the chains.
Amaya left to find some stuff which would help us break the chains faster. I continued trying my best to loosen Nicho.
Amaya returned suddenly with a startling voice, "The Luna is here!"
