“No, I was due for a break, anyway. All the fire and brimstone was making me thirsty.” He picked up a glass of water on his desk, and took a gulp .Then said, “So what brings you to my neck of the woods?” “Business.” “Terrible about Zak Olin.” “It is.” “It’s what inspired my sermon for this Sunday. Love they neighbor.” He reached into a bag, took out some red pistachio nuts, then offered me some. I declined. “You know Ben Dunn?” I asked. “Of course.” “How do you know him?” “We met in church a couple of years ago.” “Don’t you two have very different views?” “You might say that, but it hasn’t gotten in the way of our friendship.” “Creationism.” “I prefer intelligent design.” “You say potato, I say potahto. When’s the last time you saw Zak Olin?” “Probably last Sunday in church.”
