Chapter TenBack in the car the engine cranks over once again, bringing the radio back to life, and with it the pitch-perfect vocals of Mariah Carey killing it with “Can’t Let Go”. Even though she’s one of the greats, simply recognized by the first name only, it’s not what I need right now. Punching the Next button I hear the first notes from “Smooth Criminal”, by the King of Pop, and punch the Next button yet again. Third in line comes “Stupid Girls” by Garbage, and although a fairly appropriate soundtrack for the recent shoe fiasco, not quite what I’m looking for to start my ride home.
