The wind howled against the side of the tent, trying desperately to rip it up from its posts. The storm began to rage hours ago, and it didn’t seem to be willing to let up. Chris and I sat huddled around a small fire, drinking beer, trying to remain warm against the chill that continued to drift in. When we planned this excursion, there wasn’t any sign of a snowstorm, but now that we were on the edge of the Mana Mountains, there was no going back to the castle. We and our men would have to remain put until the storm subsided and then continue on.
