Chapter 4 The Contract.

1511 Words
Leilani. I arrived at the hotel without consideration, there is no time to think much about the text messages, nobody knows I'm with any card except the one that gave it to me himself even if he turns out to be Alpha Cedric, the next head Alpha of the Black Creek Pack so be it. I was planning to return the card anytime l met him, not like l saw his face that night or would recognize him in person even if I do see him. Since he is asking for it, it is best l return it and act as if nothing happened between us. I do wish it isn't Alpha Cedric or my childish dreams would be thrown to the dogs than it has already happened. He will never choose to mate with someone like me and his already disgusting stares from earlier is enough to make me run for my dear life. "Hello," The brown hair receptionist greeted me before l could even approach her, "You must be Leilani…?"She asked politely and respectfully. "Yes," l smiled back, returning her kind ways, l stood quietly as she placed a telephone on her ears whilst l glimpsed around the luxurious hotel, designed in gold and pure white marble tiles, a fancy sitting area with potted plants and different types of flower vases. "Second floor by the left, there is an office please go there," She demanded and l nodded making my way to the elevator. Office? Am l here for another interview? This is a hotel for goddess's sake and the receptionist already knew my name like she was expecting me. I stepped out of the elevator at the ping, walking towards the only door on the left side - l nervously rubbed my sweaty palms on my hips, 'no matter what safety first'-l murmured to myself before reaching to knock on the door as it sprang open. "You are early." Fuck! It's over! I clenched tightly on my handbag, bargaining mentally to just run away and never appear in his face again or to face the storm in front of me. My body jiggled panickingly, not tearing my gaze from the Alpha, not expecting l would ever meet him again, not… Alpha Cedrick! If l knew he was the one from that night l would have said no and not spread my legs casually for him. Now, what would he think of me? After how he reacted at the Packhouse, he is definitely going to throw me out of the pack for disobeying him, l don't want to be a rogue wolf -l wouldn't have gone to the packhouse if l knew he was the Alpha, l would be competing for, l shouldn't have just thrown myself and give in just like that. What will he think of me? I should have known when l saw the black-colored hair, and his buns, l should have thought deeper and realized his familiar voice was the same as the guy from that night. How can l forget something like that? How can l…? "Hey?" His raspy voice snapped, flickering his fingers in my face, escorting me back from my groundless thoughts. "Alpha…?" l greeted respectfully, looking at the ground remorsefully. What if he banishes me? An Omega wolf like me will not survive long on the street, l didn't want… "Are you going to stand there all day?" He howled, eyeing me questioningly as he made his way back to his executive chair. "Sign this," He let out, throwing some pieces of paper in front of me with a wooden razor blade. Just like that? Is he not going to talk about the incident from that night? Or talk about the card he asked me to bring? I glanced at the papers before glancing back at him, he didn't seem to care about my presence and was fixated on the laptop in front of him. A feeling rose in my stomach at how long his eyelashes were, how his hair is perfectly set to both sides, how rich, pink, and plump his lips were… He is so f*****g gorgeous, I stood there enthralled by the most handsome sight l have ever seen, how can the moon goddess make one man this perfect? I sluggishly reached out for the papers to read them through, not letting myself settle into the overwhelming atmosphere that makes my legs jelly, standing before an Alpha like this -his citrus scent clasped heavily on my nose, not a cologne this time making me want to kneel before him and submit my life away to him. I shook my head off such ridiculous thoughts and scanned through the writings which made my eyes widen, tucked between reality and space. Is this an agreement? A contract? A proposal? "Alpha, I… I, "I stuttered, not able to comprehend my words. "Do you have any questions? You are entitled to name any amount of money if the one there is not impressive." He said coldly, not sparing me the slightest glance. "l beckoned, "This a marriage agreement? You want me to be your mate? Why Alpha? " "Isn't that what you wanted? I'm only giving you an opportunity and gaining something in return and besides, you can't say no to money even though you are not worth a penny. I realized that you haven't used any money from the card l gave you, it seems you have been picking up a lot of clients and not having time to spend my money, so let's help each other. " My mouth hung wide for every sentence he made, dumbfounded and stunned at his cold words. I'm not expecting anything for an Alpha, especially when he is dealing with an Omega like me because we are worth nothing but this… This is a bit too much. I stared back at the contract reading word to word, he is entitled to dispose of me if my services are no longer needed, I'm not allowed to get pregnant or even think of baring a child for him, I'm not allowed to work anymore. "This is too much, "l chortled, throwing the papers back on the table, regretting immediately as he glared authoritatively at me, his grey orbs washing over me before picking up the papers. "What is too much? Do you expect me to allow you to continue working at the bar so you can spread your legs for anything? That is not a good image to me, common? I'm going to be paying you a lot of money so just stay put and behave like a Luna and do what l ask you to do. " "I can't do it, I'm sorry Alpha. "l altered firmly, maybe if it was a different scenario l would have accepted to be by his side but his attitude like this and what conspired between us, l bet my life will not be easy and he doesn't love me, why should l accept to mate with one who doesn't care about me? "I wasn't giving you a choice, cut your thumb with the blade and sign there, don't try to feel like I'm hunting you or I'm persuading you, it's little to no work, just accept my proposal and everything ends. " "But Alpha… I can't mate with one with no feelings for me, the bite mark would hurt so badly, what if l die? " "Do you really care about that? Tch, I can't believe even a w***e is looking for love, listen to me, Leilani, I'm not here to fulfill your Alpha and Omega love fantasy or be a gentleman to an Omega l bend over in some corridor, shouldn't you be excited? You are getting the wish of many girls? You saw my house for yourself and you know how many people are waiting for the opportunity to mate with me, male or female, l neglected them to choose you-And besides didn't you come to the packhouse so you can be chosen by me? To become my bride? " "I swear l never thought… " "It will be me? Who cares about what you think? It could have been me or anyone else, "He scoffed, shaking his head dramatically." And l had a good time that night, it's been a while since l felt satiated after a good f*****g, don't be stubborn and accept it and move into the pack house immediately, the ceremony is in a few weeks. " I bite my lips speechlessly at the zero choices he is giving me, is he daring me to defy him? What if l don't accept it? Even l wish to be betrothed to the Alpha, not him in particular. I took out the card from my bag and placed it on the table, drawing it to him." l don't need your money, Alpha, and l can't do what you want me to do, "l persisted, standing firm to my words as l made my way to the door. "Don't you dare move from there! "
