Our laughter seemed to echo through the room as Amerina and I walked through the doors. "That tour was amazing! Thank you so much Amerina!" She gave me a bright smile as she pulled me into a hug. "No problem. I always enjoy helping our newest fledglings to fit in!" She giggled as she led me up the stairs. We silently walked further down the hall until she suddenly stopped, almost making me bump into her. "This is your stop. Dorm room 364. I believe your bags are already inside. Oh and P.S. I'm just down the hall, so if you need anything, just shout." She gave me a wink before strutting off.
I stare at the door, letting out a shaky breath. I guess it's time to meet my new roommate. I knock softly before opening the door slowly. It seemed as if no one was there at the moment, but it did seem like a robbery had taken place. Clothes were strewn everywhere! I grimaced as I stared at the untidy room. I dodged a few shoes lying on the floor as I made my way towards my luggage, which was neatly placed at the end of a single bed pushed against the far left wall. Just as I was about to start unpacking, the door swung open, revealing a half naked girl with a towel wrapped around herself. Her black to purple ombre hair was wet and the water droplets fell to the ground while she tousled her long locks.
She glanced up, her bright grey-blue eyes fell upon me, making her stop dead in her tracks. A slight frown formed between her brows. "Who are you?" I swallowed the lump in my throat, slightly taken aback by her forwardness. "Um... My name's Victoria McKinney. I was told that this would be my dorm room." My fingers fidgeted nervously at the bed covers as I shyly glanced up at the half naked girl. A big smirk formed on her face and she stepped towards me, holding her arms open for a hug. "Finally I get a roommate! It gets so lonely here. I'm Skylar by the way." She pulled me into a friendly hug, drenching my clothes with water.
Her smile instantly fell when she pulled away and a gasp escaped her mouth. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I totally forgot I just got out of the shower!" I laughed at her embarrassed facial expression, placing my hand on her shoulder reassuringly. "Don't worry about it. I'm not the wicked witch of the West. A little water won't kill me." Her smirk appeared on her face once again as she giggled. "I can see that now, but at least let me make it up to you. I'll help you choose your outfit for the party tonight." I looked at her confused. "What party?" Her mouth fell open as she stared at me in shock. "Only the best party ever! It's a meet and greet party that is thrown every year. This time it's Henry Reeves' turn to host it. He's only like one of the hottest guys on campus." Why did that name sound so familiar? A loud ding echoing through the room interrupted my train of thoughts. As I took out my phone, Henry's name popped onto my screen, indicating a message.
*Hey beautiful!
Just wanted to know if you'd like to come to my party tonight?
Yours truly
H.R*
Skylar's head peeped over my phone, glancing down at my screen. She squealed when she saw who the text was from. "What?! Henry Reeves has your number? How did that happen?" I could feel a blush creep onto my cheeks as I glanced shyly down towards the floor. "Well let's just say I'm really grateful that the plane mixed up our seats." It almost seemed as if she squealed louder, this time clapping her hands excitedly as she jumped up and down. "Oh my god, that is so cute! Now I'm definitely gonna help you pick your outfit for tonight." I bit my lip as I stared at her unsurely. "I don't know. I'm not really a party person." Skylar scoffed as she rolled her eyes. "Did you really think you had a choice?" I stared at her in surprise, before we both burst out laughing. "Fine, you can drag me with to the party." She gave me an evil smirk as she stared at me. "Good. Now let's get dollied up!"

I stared at myself in the mirror that hung at the back of the closet door. The blue and red plaid thigh-high dress I wore hugged my curvy body perfectly while the brown ankle boots gave me extra height. My red curls were braided on the side and pulled back into a low ponytail. The light pink lipstick seemed to make my already full lips stand out even more. Skylar quickly put on a light brown choker around my neck before smiling in satisfaction. "All done! Now we're ready." I spun around to look at her. Her long black and purple ombre coloured hair was straightened and hung past her waist. Her laced up crop top showed off some cleavage and her dark blue jeans complimented her waist and legs. The black, spiked high-heel boots she wore gave her short figure an extra boost. She quickly applied the last touches to her makeup before putting on her noisy bangles and a black hat. She looked truly stunning. I held out my arm at her and she chuckled as she hooked her arm onto mine. "Let us go then."
The party was already on full swing when we arrived. I stared up at the huge mansion in front of us, completely speechless at the beautiful structure. Skylar laughed out loud as she stared at me. "What? You never saw a mansion there at the country-side?" I shook my head. "None like these, no." As we made our way inside, the smell of alcohol hit me like a bat. The place was packed with drunken young adults who were either dancing or making out with someone they probably just met. As I turned to ask Skylar a question, she was no longer by my side. I groaned as I glanced around, Skylar nowhere in sight. As I slowly made my way through the crowd, apologizing to the people I bumped into, I suddenly felt a sweaty hand grab hold of my wrist. I spin around, shocked, only to be pulled into a hard body. "Hey baby... you looking fine tonight!" the drunken voice from above slurred as the scent of alcohol hit my nostrils.
I tried to pull away, pushing at the guy's chest as hard as I could, but he didn't budge. "Please let me go..." My voice seemed small as fear started filling my body. "Oh come on! Don't be like that. I know you want me too." With his lips so close to me and his alcohol breathe tickling my ear, I suddenly felt a wave of nausea washing over me. "No I don't. Just let me go!" Suddenly I was pushed against the wall, hard. The hit that was delivered to my head gave me a slight dizziness and my vision blurred. His fingers dug into my shoulder and I tried not to cry out in pain. "No one ever says no to me. Either you come with me or I force you to come." I swallowed the lump in my throat as he snarled at me. "Well it's about time someone did; your ego is starting to leak out all over the place." A smoky and husky voice spoke from behind the guy.
The guy looked over his shoulder, a scoff leaving his mouth. "Dude just leave us alone. This has nothing to do with you." The voice let out a low chuckle. "Oh trust me. This has everything to do with me, especially if you're trying to force a crying girl into sleeping with you." My hands quickly flew up to my face and to no surprise did I feel my damp cheeks. The drunken guy stepped back and tried to stand tall, but he didn't even compare to the tall figure looming over him. Before I could even get a good look at my hero, a fist made contact with the aggressive drunk's face. It all happened so fast. The drunken guy suddenly lay on the ground out cold, his face covered in blood as it poured out of his nose.
I stared at him in shock before looking up, my eyes growing wider as they landed on my hero. He's black hair was slightly tousled, a stray lock hanging in his eyes as his breathe was heavy. His skin was pale, except for his bright red ears. His broad shoulders heaved up and down while his nose flared, the ring in his nostril glinting in the light. His lean, yet built figure stood at least a head taller than me, even with my heels. "Asshole." He glared at the passed out body before his eyes landed on me. My breath hitched in my throat as I stared into his mysterious depths. His transparent arctic blue eyes were obviously holding many secrets and mysteries; it would be easy to get lost in them.
He slowly made his way towards me, reaching out for me. I flinch unwillingly, my frightened gaze staring up at him. The guy sighs, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly before holding out his hand towards me. "I don't believe we've officially met. The name's Cameron Rhodes." I hesitantly take his hand in mine before shaking it. "Vicki..." He nods before pursing his lips. I avert my gaze towards the floor while fiddling with the hem of my dress. "Thank you..." my voice was barely above a whisper, but I know he heard it even over the loud music. "Don't mention it. I know what a sadistic moron Derrick can be." I gave Derrick another look, a shiver running down my spine. I look up, about to speak when I already see Cameron with his back towards me, making his way through the crowd. "Hey... Cameron, wait!" I tried to hurry behind him, but by being in heels and having a small figure, people easily bumped into me, changing my direction totally.
When I finally found my way out of the crowd, Cameron was nowhere in sight. I sighed, stomping my foot on the ground in defeat. Suddenly the room went dark as someone's hands covered my eyes. "Guess who..." his voice was husky and low, but a smile appeared on my face as I knew exactly who it was. "Well I have no clue who it could be... is it maybe Henry?" His hands dropped and I saw his full lips pout as I spun around to look at him. "That's not fair." I laughed out loud and Henry's pout quickly turned into a smirk. "So tell me why there was a frown on that beautiful face of yours?" I could feel my cheeks heat up at his compliment. I snuck a peek over my shoulder where there was still no sign of Cameron, before shaking my head. "It was nothing. No need to worry yourself over it." He looked unsure for a moment before grinning at me. "Good, cause tonight I'm gonna make sure that smile doesn't leave your lips." He pulled me close by my waist and I locked my arms around his neck. His minty breath fanned across my face as we stared into each other's eyes. A smile formed on my lips. Let the adventure begin.
