As Drew beat Isabel in talking to Ava, Isabel felt like a child whose mother abandoned at such a luxurious party. She looked around and didn’t feel like taking another drink. Alexander was still surrounded by reporters, Ava was with Drew and here she is, all alone. She decided to take a breather. She stepped out onto the balcony, into the cool night air. She stood there, admiring the scenery. She took a deep breath and let her thoughts wander without direction as she fixed her eyes on the sparkling skyline. She ran her fingers through her wavy hair, enjoying the gentle breeze on her skin. But her moment alone was disrupted when she felt a familiar presence, and her back straightened.
