  Cavin's POV   The door shut with a dull click, leaving me alone with her. The air between us was thick with tension, electric. Eliza stood frozen near the window, still wrapped in that blanket, her face pale.   Her eyes were wide, filled with something that looked like panic, but I knew better. I'd seen that look before—fear, yes, but also something else, something darker, more dangerous. Desire.   I took a step forward, my pulse pounding in my ears. She was trembling, the blanket clutched tightly around her like it was the only thing keeping her from falling apart.   "Eliza," I growled, my voice low and rough. "We need to talk."
