I stared at my reflection in the mirror, wiping my tears away.
Please tell me it was real… it wasn’t some delusion...
It had been three weeks since the accident, and Kie went missing. The Royals were still here as we searched, and no one had been able to link her. Blowing my nose, I looked at myself. Did I really reach her? It sounded like her link, but the connection was off. It's like spotted cell reception, but Linking doesn’t work like that. Alanna never spoke, but I could feel her reassurance that it was real. I furrowed my brow, wondering what could possibly have caused that, as I turned to rush to the Delta Wing.
