Ah

“AH” “AH” I screamed after. I turned to see Amaris sitting on the bed, panting and sweating hard. “It was…just a dream” she touches her body. “Hey…hey, are you okay?” I slowly approached her with a soft voice, trying to help her calm down. “It’s probably just a nightmare” she slowly shakes her head and looks at me, horrified. “He…he visited again…in my dreams” tears started to form in her eyes “H-he said that he was going to get me soon” she covered her mouth and started to cry silently. “Who? Who visited you?” Amaris slowly turns her head at me “My father” when those two words left her mouth, I felt a sharp pain inside me. She’s always mentioned about how both of her parents were always busy and that her father was always absent for her. I think it was about when we got into The Academy, she started having nightmares of her father visiting her. “It’s alright…he can’t get you” I pulled her into a hug and let her cry into me. “Where are we, anyways?” she wiped her tears away and stopped crying. The trapdoor suddenly opened and people started to get in. “Hey, what’s going on?” I ask Marie as she arrives looking panicked. “There’s a huge storm coming in and Elena said to take cover. The thing is, we’re not near Paraiso’s main island yet and Chelsea said that she doesn’t think this boat is going to survive.” Marie started to pant and settled unto a bed. “There’s a storm coming” I explained to Amaris and quickly stood up. “You guys go ahead and sit over there” she tells the others. “Amaris! Come here” I called after her but she was already climbing up unto the main deck. “Oh, for goodness’ sake when will she ever listen” I let out a heavy sigh before hesitating to run after her. “AMARIS” I called after as soon as I got unto the main deck. Where does that girl think she’s going right now? I looked around to see her near with Elena on the ship’s steering wheel or as what Alex said, and I quote “It’s called the helm of the ship, are you dumb?” “AMARIS” she takes a glance at me before talking back to Elena. The wind was surely getting stronger, the water was hitting the ship and the waves were getting bigger. “ELENA!” I started to walk towards them. “Now, what are you doing here?” Elena sounded irritated while keeping her eyes on the water roads. “There’s a boat…over there” I point towards the fogs. I swear there was a shadow of a ship approaching us. “Now isn’t the time to joke around Athena. Both of you, get back in” “But there is a boat. Look!” Amaris points out to the ship that was slowly approaching us. “Get inside quick…it might be the Apoy” she warns us. I quickly grab Amaris’ arm and pulled her down unto the cabin. “Amaris!” she looks surprised as soon as we got inside. “You can’t just go out randomly when there’s an upcoming storm! Especially since Elena specifically warned us not to!” I scolded her, panting after that. Who wouldn’t get mad? “I-I was just trying to tell Elena t-that since we uh…we’re probably still in Green’s residence and if ever she plans to stop unto any island, it would trigger my curse” she tries to look everywhere but not on me. Everyone tried not to stare at us too. “AMARIS! Elena has a map of her own! She knows where we’re going. And she knows what to do. We can only help her by listening to her and staying safe” her head was low. I sort of felt guilty for yelling at me. But at the same time, I didn’t. I mean, she shouldn’t have run away like that. “Listen, I know you’re right and I apologize. I don’t know what happened to be back there but it was wrong to instinctively run out into a storm” I slowly pulled her into a hug again and pat her back. “Just please don’t be so stupid sometimes” I mumble under my breath, but it was loud enough for her to hear it. “Uhmmm, as much as I enjoy seeing you guys getting along, I think it would be better if you both would just sit down and stay still?” we both turn to Alex and Diana nudged him in his chest. “Alright, sorry” we both sat unto the floor, right beneath both Oliver and Diana since Alex was beside us too. The storm wasn’t as bad as we thought it would be…at least inside, it wasn’t TOO bad. There were waves that hit too hard and times where water could get inside through the tiniest holes of the ship. When we went out, everything was a mess. Fortunately, they sealed everything safe in the kitchen. But I think they forgot about the dining area. The chairs were broken and wet, the table was severely damaged and the flower vase along with the candle that were both placed on the middle, was also found ruined on the floor.
