BROKEN PROMISES

Sarah couldn't respond she just stood the speechless,she felt disrespected.

She politely told belinda to go away with a low voice. " umhh i don't know what you think you are or have with my husband, but please don't disrespect me to this extent of you coming over to my house please leave."

Smith:" please leave, the kids are around."

Belinda: " ohh so you are choosing her over me?,wow okay so all your promises were a lie?. "

Belinda left with anger and shame written all over.

Sarah also left for work.

She arrived at work, went straight into her office and found john waiting for her.

John: "morning how are you?, umhh sorry for barging in your office i was worried about you."

Sarah:"hi I'm good, ohh thanks but there's no need so worry about me everything is fine now.

John:" are you sure"?

Sarah:"no to be honest with you i don't think I'll be able to forgive smith. I'm trying but i can't. I don't want my kids to grow up without both parents. It will be selfish of me to divorce smith,especially that now that he's trying to change.

John:" umhh i really don't think he's trying to change i think he's afraid of letting you go or seeing you happy with another man. I mean if you didn't find out about his affair do you think he would have stopped?"

Sarah immediately snapped and asked john to stop talking. She felt overwhelmed by John's response. John then changed the topic to break the awkwardness.

After work when Sarah got paid she went to the mall to spoil herself, she bought nice dresses, changed her hairstyle, new nice shoe's and sole cosmetics. She bought anything she liked without thinking about drawing up a budget first or the bills. She wanted to feel new and beautiful.

When she reached at home smith and the kids were gazed by her beauty they smiled non stop.

She looked young, cute and stunning.

Smith: "wow honey, you look beautiful."

Sarah simply said" thank you, ohh I'm going out with my friend(Laura) later, can you please look after the kids? ".

Smith was shocked by the Sarah's words because she's never went since they got marriage, she was always at home taking care of her family.he felt jealous and angry at the same time, the smile on his face faded

Smith :" i thought you forgave me?, where are you going?,so all the promises you made to me and my parents were a lie!?. ohh I'm sorry for asking too much stupid questions. you can go I'll look after the kids be safe."

Sarah smilled then quickly went upstairs changed her handbag, kissed the kids and went out.

While smith was about to go and put the kids to bed the lights went off. ( the electricity bill wasn't paid).he called sarah and asked if she paid the electricity bill?. She said "nop you are the man of the house i think that's your responsibility" she cuts the call.

Smith spent the whole night in the dark having a heart to heart conversation with himself. While sarah was out there having fun at a night club with her old friend(laura).

Sarah had the best night of her life, she got wasted, danced with strangers. For a moment she forgot about all her problems she was happy.

Sarah and Laura lost track of time while having fun. The moment Laura took out her phone to check the time it was already 04:00am, she quickly grabbed sarah out of the crowd and told her it was time for them to get home.

Laura dropped sarah at her home since she was wasted. Sarah tried her best to sneak in silently but failed, she was wasted and couldn't control herself. She didn't have balance , she tried getting a glass of water before heading to bed but she mistakenly dropped it. That's when smith woke up.

He quickly went downstairs to check what's going on. Only to find sarah laying on the stairs. She was trying to get upstairs but failed. She ended up crushing on the stairs.

Smith picked her and put her on the bed.

After some few hours the alarm went off, it was time for her to get to work. Smith woke her up since she was deep asleep, wgen she woke up she had a terrible headache and couldn't remember how she got home.

She then grabbed her phone to check the time, sge shouted "ohh no, no, no, no I'm late". She quickly rushed to the bathroom but the water was cold.(electricity was off).

She just brush her teeth, took her clothes and went to her neighbor (Mitchell) to take a shower.

She did everything without saying a word to smith as if he was not there.

Smith felt embarrassed when she saw his wife going to take a shower at the neighbors place.

He then swallowed his pride and called his parents asking for money so he can pay the electricity bill. He was broke since he spent his savings on his side chick belinda.
