Mason’s POV
I sat down in my office, working as I hummed to a song. Things lately were going well for me and Gillian, so there was nothing for me to worry about.
My extension line rang, and I quickly picked it up from the ringer, “hello” I said through the phone trying to sound calm as possible as I could be
“Hello sir, I have Ms. Jenkins here to see you,” my secretary said
“Let her in,” I said, hoping it was Gillian, though it seemed strange that my secretary would address her like that.
The door opened, and I heard someone walk in. The powerful scent of perfume hit my nostrils, and I knew it wasn’t Gillian.
