I remember my alarm going off with cathedral bells before I shut it off. I slipped back to sleep and didn't awake until seven when my alarm chimed once more. Damn, that alarm was so loud! I went to the kitchen and greeted the espresso maker. "I know you are a machine, but I love you." I made myself a cup of cappuccino and gazed out my windows to see the city waking below.
