Evan appeared thunderstruck as he confessed, "I have found things new in myself since we met. Sometimes I think it's the reason we met. Something pulled me into that club and I think it was you." He contemplated matters for a moment and asserted, "You are wrong about me leaving you, though. I can't leave you. I would be losing myself."
I only smiled sadly at him. I wished that I was wrong but I wasn't.
