The engine purred to life. I inspected the odometer which read that the car, despite its age, had only five hundred miles on it. Looking at the odometer saddened me and then I understood why Jack wanted me to drive it. It was because his wife never had the chance to. I followed Angel toward the covered lot near my apartment. He pulled in and led me to my new parking space. It was enough to keep the car safe and I would never be far from my apartment. I got out and popped the trunk to find all my belongings neatly inside. Angel appeared at my side, taking my dance bag onto his shoulder, and walked me to my door
