"In order to achieve anything you must be brave enough to fail." Kirk Douglas  The next morning, I went to the appointed place and waited in the hall. There was only one other person there. She was a young girl who didn't look old enough to have graduated high school. I asked, "Are you old enough for this test?" She seemed very shy and I thought she might not answer me when she said, "I skipped a few grades of school." I knew how that felt. It sucked. I was in high school at twelve. Older children had no mercy for a younger student. I advised, "Don't let them give you any s**t. You're smarter than they are and that upsets them." She turned pink and gave me a little smile. I put my hand out to her and introduced myself, "I'm Paige Spencer." She shook my hand. "I'm Julia Houseman."
