Emily then decided to steal the necklace Benson showed her, but first, she will need the help of her sister, Michelle. Emily took out her phone from her pocket and called Michelle between two trials the call went through "Michelle, Michelle can you hear me" Emily said panting due to the run she ran. "Yes, I can hear you what is it" Michelle replied.

" Where are you," Emily asked, standing near the bathtub where she placed the mini mermaid. "Am just entering through the gate now, why do you need me to get you something?" Michelle said she had just entered the compound and she double-crossed Benson and his girlfriend on his way out, Emily could hear his voice over the phone he was also on the phone asking the government for money.

"Can you come to my room real quick, I need your help with something" Emily requested, sounding more like she was begging for help."Um, Okay hope everything is Okay, over there" Michelle asked with a large amount of concern.

"Yes!

Michelle's POv

Michelle gasped seeing a real-life mermaid in Emily's bathtub, the female mermaid flapped her brown tail against the water in the bathtub, giggling like a human baby, it was so cute to have been able to bring a smile on Emily's face but not Michelle she was always with her dad, 'mermaids are evil' that was the only slogan they cried. She turned towards Emily" Emily, what's the meaning of this" she said, she appeared to be annoyed.

"What do you mean it's a baby mermaid" Emily replied.

"Are you sure you're okay, where did you find this little monster" Michelle interrogated looking like she was ready to hand the mermaid over to Benson. "She's not a monster, and I didn't call you here to annoy me, I only called you here to help me out" Emily replied. "Oh, so you are the only one annoyed what about me!

" Shh, shh, please hear me out" Emily shush Michelle up. "Okay am listening" Michelle replied with her two fingers in the air, air coating the word listening. " I want you to help me steal something from daddy"

"What!, you want to steal from daddy, girl you know this isn't possible right, Benson is a thief himself, so he will see it coming" Michelle explained but Emily wasn't ready to give up not yet.

"Oh please let's try, I know you can help me out, just do this for me as my birthday gift next week, oh please Michelle " Emily plead, her hands clapped together while pleading. "Okay, okay fine, What are we stealing," Michelle asked.

"Daddy,s new necklace"

"Daddy wears a necklace when did that start," Michelle said squeezing her face like she was confused.

"Shut up and listen to me" Emily yelled quietly ."Okay, but let's go inside your room the sight of this fish is scaring me" She said glaring at the mermaid in disgust, Emily agreed and they both entered the room. Michelle seat on the bed with both her hands resting on the bed, holding her body like a pillar "So what's the plan" Michelle giving her full attention to Emily, Emily leaned forward and explained her plans to Michelle and by the look on Michelle's face it seems impossible but she didn't complain she just wanted to satisfy her sister.

As the day turned into darkness, the chirps of the crickets could be heard, owls hoots so loud it made echoes in the whole street. Emily & Michelle were still in the room hatching her Emily's plans

"Are you clear with the plan" Emily uttered glaring at Michelle, her eyes wide open with determination written on her face.

"Um, what part am I playing again, am sorry I wasn't listening," Michelle said with confusion written on her face.

"Ugh" Emily grumbled...

"You.. Will.. Distract.. Dad.. While.. I.. Steal.. The.. Keys.. Form... Him.. Okay" Emily spaced out every word she spoke for Michelle's understanding, for as long as she had been Michelle's sister, Michelle will never concentrate, she will rather look for silly distractions and Emily was right, Michelle was currently staring at the gold chandeliers Emily just had hung to he white ceiling last week.

"Are we clear," Emily said shaking Michelle back to the plan, "Yes," She said and they both went into their respective positions.

Michelle and Emily head to Benson who had just arrived from his workplace. "Oh, dad welcome let me help you with your bag," Emily said reaching forward to the bag he hung on his shoulder. "No dear, this bag is no joking matter," He said, heaving a heavy sigh as he sat down.

"What's for dinner," he asked turning his glare towards Emily. "Um, dad can I, like show you something in the kitchen," Michelle said squeezing her fingers out of nervousness, thinking he would drop his bag. "Are you guys Okay?" He said as soon as he noticed Michelle squeezing her fingers, he was their father so he knows when something is going on, especially when Michelle squeezes her fingers "Yes! They both yelled staring at each other.

" Okay, let's go, Missy," He said clenching his bag all the way to the kitchen, Emily and Michelle followed him "So what do you want to show me, dear, " Benson said, and Michelle faced Emily waiting for her Idea, but Emily just rolled both her index fingers together repeatedly indicating that Michelle should make something up since Michelle was good at doing that and Michelle came up with the stupidest idea, Michelle pointed her index finger also directing Benson's eyes to was the figure.

" Dad looking at that chandelier, doesn't it look fancy, I like it, it made the kitchen look beautiful," Michelle said as soon as Benson's eyes traveled to the chandeliers Emily stepped closer to his bag and was able to open the large zip

" That's why I got them when you were five because you said you liked it" Benson replied not impressed with the reason why she had made you to the kitchen. He sensed someone gaining closer to him, he then tilt his head only to see Emily pretending to be listening to him. "Dad let's hug, it been a long time since we've had family time, after mom's death we ain't as close as we used to," Emily said her voice as gentle as a flock of white feathers also as if she wanted to cry and Benson felt the speech as he pulled both of them into a tight hug, Emily then use the opportunity to pull the keys out without making a sound, she then gives a smile along with a thumbs up to Michelle who actually felt the moment they were having together.

" Dad, I'll be back I quickly need to make one phone call, just one wait for me"Emily running off, Benson's phone began ringing and he picks it up, it was from the government he works with "Hello, Yes am with the necklace" Benson replied to whatever he was talking about with the governments as soon as Michelle heard the word necklace her mind traveled to the necklace Emily went after.

Emily headed straight to the basement unlocked the door and got the necklace out successfully, but in the midst of searching for the necklace she stumbles across the dead body of her dog, Nimo, whom her mom got for her when she was just nine, it was isolated in a transparent glass withing on a wooden table alongside sides different types of chemicals. They were also different types of creatures she had never come across in her life living in the basement but she stayed focused even when she had to mourn her dead dog, Benson told her Nimo ran away, that was the story she knew all a life she didn't know her poor dog had been suffering in the hands of her wicked father.

"Okay I will bring the necklace," He said with his phone still pressed to his ear as one hand searched for the keys. He ended the call still looking for his keys "Where are my keys" he uttered and Emily showed up with the keys in her hands "Is this yours, I saw it outside" Emily said her voice wasn't as jolly as it used to be, Benson reached out to the keys and she handed it over to him.

Emily and Michelle headed towards Emily's room then they entered the room without locking the door, Michelle laughed at the situation then she noticed Emily being down and silent all of a sudden.

"Emily are you okay" Michelle uttered with concern "Yeah am good," Emily said, she didn't want to tell Michelle what she saw in the basement, she also saw Michelle goldfish Emily got her last Christmas, and she didn't want to spoil Michelle's little confidence she had because Emily knew there was going to be a war for what she had just done, it was never over for them.

As soon as they both got to the bathroom, Emily headed to the bathtub and pulled the mermaid out of the water, and dropped her on her bed. Emily pulled out the necklace from her pocket and placed it around the mermaid's little neck and it immediately shrink to the size of her neck that was when the change began, the scales on her tail slowly began to morph into skin, the caudal fin turned into human feet then gradually separated into two while the process went on, Emily and Michelle stood still in shock, it was almost unreal to the eyes. Then all of sudden, Emily and Michelle heard a loud bang on the door, so they turned to take a glimpse at the situation only to see Benson standing behind them glaring at the newly formed baby mermaid.

"Good job my girls," He said and they both flinched. "Dad, it's an actual baby" Emily tried convincing him but he could clearly see the necklace on her neck. "Emily you smart child that's why you're my favorite, this little fish could help us pay the house rent," He said making his way toward the baby mermaid. "No dad, not after what you did to Nimo and Giddie" She stood in front of the mermaid both her hand stretched by her side creating a wall. "What! Michelle exclaimed.

"So you saw it, where did you guys think the money came from," he said and a chuckle followed "Look Emily I know you would have gotten attached to that create but that's our only money-making idea" He continued sounding like he was pleading.

"No, we have lots of money-making ideas and you know that, you're just looking for the fastest way" Emily yelled out still standing in the same position.

"Maybe or maybe that's not your business kid," Benson said his voice sounded intimidating but it didn't shake Emily " I wouldn't let you," Emily said also sounding intimidating.

"Then you leave me with no choice," He said moving his feet towards Emily as soon as he got to her pushed her with all his force so that she slams her body to the wall.

"You guys are just kids, you wouldn't understand until you get older," He said then he picks up the baby and head towards the door then Michelle slams the vase on her head, and Emily yanked the baby from his hand and head out. Benson knelt down his hands on his head as his blood oozes out, he pulled out his phone and made a phone call.

Michelle managed to take his car key from his bag earlier thinking it was the key to his basement, they head outside not realizing that it was raining heavily, they drop the baby inside the car and Michelle entered the car and start the engine while Emily opens the gate only to see five large cars settling In front of them, it was of the Chinese government.

One of the female government officials, Bridget sue, came out with a large speaker in his hands alongside her bodyguard, they wore black head-to-toe suits, black tinted shades, and earpiece with long wires that disappears through their shirt "Give us the fish and stay safe girl" He said.

"Never! Emily yelled, Benson, managed to make his way outside, he walked past Emily and walked straight to the government officials, yanks the speaker from her " Emily, Michelle listen to me, hand over the fish, and they will take care of it for you, you can visit it anytime you like" Benson said over the speaker.

"Michelle go, go" Emily yelled and Michelle started the engine. "Clear, clear the road don't hurt my kids" Benson yelled towards the car parked in front of the road and Michelle successfully pass the officials leaving Emily at the scene" Catch her, don't let her escape"Bridget yelled pointing at Emily, five of the built bodyguard launched at her.

"No don't hurt my daughter" Benson yelled running forward trying to save her, Emily turned her feet and tried to run out of the compound not realizing a car launching at her, its white light blinded her eyes as It launched at her and slams at her.

"Emily!! Michelle&Benson yelled, Michelle, applied a large speed to the engine running away from the government cars that were also launching at her but fortunately they weren't as fast as she was so she escaped.

Benson ran towards Emily and tapped on her face continuously trying to revive her, blood gushes out of her body, and Benson sat crying, Bridget ordered the guards to capture Benson which they did, at gunpoint they ordered Benson to enter the car and he did only on a request " Please save my daughter" He pleaded but they didn't listen to him. After the government officials had left Michelle came back to save her only sister.

THE NEXT MORNING

Emily woke up due to the sunlight prying on her face, only to find out she was in New York, the signboard she sighted from the window said it all. Emily's legs were wrapped up with bandages after repeatedly trying to walk she found out she had lost her ability to walk from there on she had to use a wheelchair as a support for her movement.

Throughout the years Emily found a man George Williams a successful businessman and got married to him, and they had a child they name Clanet William Alongside the mermaid they named Lisa Williams, George got bankrupt so he lost his money and after that, he began his habit of drinking, that ended up taking his life when he got involved in a car accident. Michelle found work in a food company which made her a rich and successful businesswoman.
