Three years earlier...
Maddie, she is amazing in every way. I understand that most relationships start as friendships, but I am dying to touch her, to kiss her, anything really. I am afraid I might try something and she ends this thing going on between us. She has told me about her ex-boyfriend, and how he treated her poorly. She has left out some details, like his name, where he lives and all that, not that it even matters anyway. Why she has told me his story is still unknown to me, but maybe she has told me because she needs a friend by her side. So here I am torn between whether I should ask her out, or be the friend she needs.
