Chloe's POV
I gulped as another loud sound echoed throughout the night. This is far worse than climbing the mountains.
Colton's words rang in my ears.
"Wait here"
Blood spilled on the window frame at once and every thought of staying inside the carriage vanished.
I ran out of the carriage at once, there were men dressed in other clothing everywhere. I swung my sword at them. Thank God I took a dagger with me because this sword is too heavy to lift.
I slashed one in the face and stabbed the dagger when I could. They were coming at me in their hundreds and they were pretty fast.
Moving back to create enough space between us, I continued to attack them as fast as I could.
