Defne was stunned. Omar and Mrs. Henshaw must not find out about what's happening.
She had a deal with Omar. 30,000 dollars in exchange for pretending to be his girlfriend.
Omar shook hands with her and said he'd make payment once the job commenced, and it wasn't just for a day.
Whenever you're needed, you'll come. Sign the agreement and get your initial payment.
Defne was so happy because her grandmother's chemotherapy expenses would be covered.
"What exactly will this pretence involve?" she asked.
"Just pretend and y`ou dont have to change anything. You're my assistant at the company," he replied to her.
"Isn't it too difficult to believe that a CEO fell in love with his assistant?"
"You look pretty and okay. Besides, my Aunt doesn't care about such details. She just wants me to bring in my girlfriend to meet her. And there's someone we need to irritate," he said.
"My Father needs to be irritated. Ypo seem ggod irritating people since you managed to annoy me pretty well," Omar explained.
Defne wasn't sure whether to feel pleased or offended by his comment. Nonetheless, she was ready to do well for the money she would earn.

They arrive at the Dynasty mansion. It looked like a palace, with expansive grounds, a big beautiful garden, and big swimming pools on different sides.
Defne felt classless and out of place in her pink shirt, jeans, and worn-out sneakers.
She noticed the happiness on Omar's family's faces when they saw her. They probably wondered who this pauper was with their son. She couldn't even believe she was being introduced as his girlfriend, even if it was just a pretence. It felt like she was a star in the sky.
Mrs. Henshaw, who was surprised at the quick progress, though also happy, gently welcomed her and led her inside. Ismail, on the other hand, turned his back and left them.
"Let's have dinner," Mrs. Henshaw said, being so friendly and asking many funny questions.
Naturally, Defne made up some details about her life. She wouldn't be there long, so there was no reason to share her real story.
Omar left them and headed upstairs to freshen himself. Mrs. Henshaw then approached Defne.
She felt nervous but kept her cool to see the outcome of it all.
"I had you investigated, and not even half of what you said is true, Defne Talker," Mrs. Henshaw said, shoving a tablet with Defne's information and a video clip of her affair with Omer which only lasted a night. I know all about you and Omar dosen't really remember he slept with you, but I am sure that fate holds something good for you both and that's why he brought you home. Remember the proposal I once offered to you. Now you'll have to play along as you both planned, but you have to seduce him and give me a grandchild, because he is more than a son to me.
Defne listened attentively and almost got weakened by Mrs. Henshaw's story and then realised that Omar wasn't as cold as he appeared to be.
"You have 6months to make him get down on you, and be sure you do a good one. Once you're able to get it all done, I'll add more money to you, and I'll also cover up all the medical expenses of your grandmother' and your sister's schooling."
Defne's eyes opened wider, and she didn't want to turn down the offer.
It would be great to accept such an offer. She did all she could, knowing fully well that her chances of winning were very slim, but this she had to do. Her late grandfather once said it was foolish to refuse blessings.
Defne once prayed for this opportunity. She needed money to solve all her problems. If she had it, she could bring happiness and comfort to her family. She is a woman without parents. She only has her grandmother and her little sister. This might be the answer to her long-time prayers.
Defne was still thinking about what answer to give, but she had always relied on courage to face life's battles. Whatever the outcome, she was ready to accept it all for the significant money that would change her family's situation. As such, let fate do the rest.
Omar came out and asked that Defne be allowed to go home because it was quite late.
Mrs. Henshaw hugged and perked her on the forehead and asked that she come around whenever she wanted.
Omar and Defne left the house, but she quickly noiticed that there were just a few people with servants in the house and a lot of luxurious cars and all. Meanwhile, she had to do extreme things to get money to do things for her family.

Omer was silent throughout thier journey and stopped to drop her off.
!Why have you stopped all of a sudden? I thought you were supposed to take me home and not stop half-way.
"Watch the way you talk to me, young woman. Always learn to seperate pretence from reality. You can put on all this charade when you meet my family, but right now I'm your boss.
Don't get too attached if you want this offer to last. Don't spill nonsense about us being together to anyone, and don't think I'm going to fall in love with you," Omer said.
She wasn't pleased with his last statement. "As long as I get paid, there's nothing to be worried about," she soliloquised. She signed the contract and was about to leave when Omer held her by her hand and asked if they had met somewhere before.
She tried explaining to him but couldn't do so because she was afraid of what the outcome would be if he got to know the whole story of what really happened that night and afterward.
Defner left him unattended and begged that he drop her home because the weather wasn't looking friendly. But he blatantly ignored her and made a move.
