In the morning when Wolf walked into the court only a few boos were heard. Wolf went to stand between Red and the Raven. The knight leaned over to the boy and whispered in his ear, "The truth, always, the truth."
After the Lion had entered and everyone sat down he started, "Sir Raven, do you still wish to call Page Wolf as a witness?"
"I do, Your Honor."
The Lion addressed Wolf, "Page Wolf, you are not obligated to testify, but if you do you also have to answer questions from both the prosecution and defense. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Sir, I do."
"Good, then you may be seated."
When Wolf was sitting, Red stood and approached the boy. She smiled reassuringly at him, "Wolf, have you ever stolen anything?"
Wolf felt like he had been hit with a hammer. Inwardly, he fought to keep calm.
