Wolf sought out the Vet to ask if he could participate more in his work, his big interest being anatomy. Although the Vet wasn't licensed to practice medicine on humans he was a licensed paramedic, and with the assistance of the school nurse, could perform emergency life-saving procedures.
The Vet happy to accommodate Wolf, took him on his rounds of the camp's animals. They had long discussions on the anatomy of both humans and animals. The similarities were striking; sizes and shapes may be different but the parts matched. By studying animals the vet taught Wolf a fair amount of human anatomy.
