The devil's Cathedral

Her gift

Clare woke up suddenly, "are you alright?" Father Vincent asked. She said "yes". Everything happened in a few seconds, care was telling the father about her visions and coincidentally had another one in his presence. She went pale and her eyes stood still then her hands vibrated lightly for 5 seconds and she came out of it. Within the 5 seconds, she state in the trance, her father was calling her without a reply and was about to seek medical support before she woke up panting. Clare after the class has come to tall the priest about her visions cause she was afraid she was possessed like the slave girl in the Bible( what he taught in class that day). He asked her about it and she told him about the one she has any time she is in the cathedral( the crucified Bishop), the one she has when passing a particular house near the cathedral on her way home from school and finally the one she had there at that time. She saw a girl standing on an open window in the middle of the night and two voices( that of a man and a woman) calling her to come down and another voice telling her to do it. The lady after some time jumped off and getting to the ground she woke up. The priest told her not to worry, that she is not possessed but had a gift. Someone knock on the door and the priest tells the person in, it was Shola and he came to submit the classwork he gave the senior school 2 religion students. Shola saw care but ignored her and treated the priest, then submitted the books. The priest asked him if everyone submitted and he answered in the affirmative, he was the class rep. Shola turned and headed out of the office. The priest asked her if she knew Shola but she said no, he then dismisses her promising to look into her matter. She thanked him and left, but while leaving the door a woman was going in. She met shola waiting for her outside, Shola asked if she was okay and she said "yes". He told her he didn't know she schooled in the same school as him and asked her why nobody knows her and she retorts " it's better to stay unknown sometimes". Shola then requested his coat hoping to show her that he just came for his coat and nothing more. She told him it was in her class so they both head towards her class to get it.

In the priest's office, a knock was heard just immediately after Clare left. The priest told the knocker to come in and when she stepped in, the priest recognized her and immediately understood why she came. The woman just stood there with a pitiful face staring blankly at the priest before the priest then asked her if it happened again and she nodded in affirmation replying to the priest with " she jumped off the window" as she started crying. Rev.fr. Vincent now understood that celesta's case has escalated, what he feared the most has occurred. Celesta's case was no longer that of demonic oppression, she have finally been possessed so he stood up immediately and followed the woman.

Clare brought the coat to shola and they see the priest rushing out with the woman. Shola then asked Clare why she was in the office "did you get into trouble" he asked jovially. Clare smiled and said "no". She was an introvert because of her visions that affected her psychology. She believed she wasn't okay and that she was not normal so she kept out of the social circle. On the other hand, Shola has been showing her concern since morning when he first met her at the cathedral so he gained a level of her trust but she still didn't trust him enough to tell him about her visions but would have to eventually. Shola then offers to walk her home so they both leave the school together.
