Chapter3- Oh no! What now?

1100 Words
Amelia's Pov Chase proposed to another lady?! Was this a bad dream or something? Could someone just wake me up already? How dare he do such a thing to me? After all the beautiful moments we spent together, this was the best thing he could do to me at the end? Why would he be so cruel? Heck, we didn't even have a quarrel. He hasn't even broken up with me yet. Proposing to her means only one thing, they've been together for long now and that literally means that he has been cheating on me all along. Fuck! That was even worse. I felt like a big fat fool right now. Blinking back the tears that threatened to spill, I immediately packed up my things. I needed to get home as soon as possible. “Lia, is everything okay?” Sebastian asked with concern evident in his voice as he watched me hurriedly pack my stuff. “Yes, I just need to get home.” I mumbled, cursing under my breath as I wiped a betrayal of a tear that slipped down my cheeks. “I'll take you home.” He said and I just nodded my head feeling too overwhelmed to argue with him. - “Darling it's okay, I get that you're hurt but you're an amazing person and that douchebag doesn't deserve you.” Sebastian said, trying to make me feel better with his arms wrapped around me in a comforting manner. I had a total breakdown in his car and despite not wanting to I ended up explaining the situation to him. And, that's how he decided to spend some time with me before my bestfriend got back. “Would you like to eat something?” He questioned and I shaked my head in disapproval. “Why? Baby you shouldn't starve yourself because of him. He isn't worth it, don't you get it? You deserve more.” He said in a non-negotiable tone and I'd have argued but for some unknown reason I just decided to hold back. - “Amelia!” Stephanie screamed my name as she walked in, flinging her coat off. She had just arrived from work and Seb had left to attend to something urgent. “Tell me the message you sent is a prank!” She exclaimed sitting beside me. “No, it's not.” I whispered, sniffing. “How could he do something like that to you? He must be mad. Goodness, he's a motherfucker and whoever said yes to him is a lowlife b***h!” I couldn't help but roll my eyes and smile as I watched my best friend curse from beneath my eyelashes. She was always willing to stand up for me regardless of whatever and I loved her so much because she got my back as much as I got hers. “Steph, it's okay. I just feel stupid for not finding out much earlier.” I mumbled. “You don't have to feel stupid, he's the dumb person here. And if I see him I'll make sure to chop off his baby maker and feed it to the wild dogs on the next street.” She fumed. “He deserves it for making my stomach dip and twist in pain this much.” I whined. “You know what? Let's go to Booze47, it's the new club in the city. They opened just a month ago and I've been dying to go there. But I've been so busy, so this is like the perfect opportunity.” She suggested and a slight frown made its way to my face. “I don't think I need that right now, you can go. I'll stay back. I think I should just spend this night reflecting and adjusting to move on.” I explained, hoping she'd understand even though I felt she wouldn't. “Oh please darling, do not disappoint me. Reflect about what exactly? Reflect about how he has always been cheating, cut you off out of the blue and proposed to another person? Do you really think he's worth your tears at all? You better get up girl, you can do better.” She stated, questioning my decision and trying to get me to see it from her point of view. “Fine, I agree with you. He's a bastard who doesn't deserve my attention, talk more my tears.” I agreed. “Now, that’s my baby girl! I heard they have hot men too.” She grinned, winking as she held my hands helping me get up in order to prepare. “By the time I'm done dressing you, he'll regret what he lost.” She ascertained. - I smiled at myself suddenly feeling a sort of confidence in my spirit and for a moment I pushed the thoughts of Chase away from my mind. I looked different in a good way, my best friend sure didn’t just know how to make me feel better but she also knew how to make me look better. I was dressed in a criss-cross cut out backless ruched side halter bodycon dress and my golden brown hair was styled in a sideways waterfall braids. My lips were all closed up and I applied my signature strawberry with vanilla scented perfume. I mean it would be a crime to not smell edible. - I took a sip of my whiskey and took a deep breath trying to relax, get rid of the painful thoughts and lose myself. My mind was still wandering when my eyes met with the most beautiful set of brown eyes I've ever seen. His face was angelic and his features were striking and he had plump pink lips that were begging to be kissed. Even from afar I could see that he had a piercing somewhere around his eyebrows and he also had ear rings on. f**k! He was the sexiest man I had ever laid my eyes on in my entire life. That wasn't all, tattoos too. They trailed down from the exposed part of the suit that hugged his abs, down to his fingers and I wondered what it would feel like to have those tattooed fingers slid into me. Just the thought of it alone made me adjust uncomfortably in my seat. I don't know if it was the alcohol or the pent up s****l frustration that has been building up in me but I suddenly felt hot all over. I gasped, my heart pounding in its socket a s I watched him rise and walk towards my direction. Fuck! What now?
