Chapter 10

Nothing happened more at the school that night. After I made up with Subaru I was in a very good mood that the other brothers noticed.

"Hey, what are you smiling for i***t?" Ayato said while eyeing me suspiciously.

"Hmm?" I was still smiling.

"Yeah, did something happen, b***h-chan?" Laito joined in too.

I looked to Subaru, he noticed that and averted his eyes from me and started looking to the window beside him. I chuckled. "Nothing, nothing at all..."

Both vampires looked at each other. Then they shrugged like nothing happened. Luckily, that was to my side. But I can't help but think that they did that so they avoid Reiji's lecture, so l'm fully expecting them to annoy me later with questions.

We went back to the mansion and as usual, I changed and went down to fill my stomach. I ran into Yui who was still gloomy and pale. Her foot was way better now, but she still had this look of agony on her face.

"Hey Yui! Everything's going good with you? Or those bastards want me to wipe the floor with them again?"

A faint smile appeared on her face. "Oh, hello, Sama-chan... No, I'm okay... Thank you for worrying..."

"Anytime! Come on, you wanna cook together? We can chat while doing that!"

"T-together? Okay, I would love that." She said and we went to the kitchen.

We chatted all the time while doing dinner. I told her about my latest Sakamaki pranks, and me meeting the Mukamis. I learned that she met the Mukamis before. She mention something about them kidnapping her, but I didn't want to ask her about that sinceshe

already seemed loaded with problems. To be honest, I kinda had some hope that the Mukamis will turn out more decent than the Sakamakis, but yeah... They were about the same. They had this human-vampire complex and that annoying ego, thinking that

/they own the world or something. The only thing I noticed they were better at, was the relationship between them. In the Sakamaki household, it seems that any brother will kill the other for a simple cause. It was a piece of candy for Kanato onceand

a takoyaki for Ayato. On the other hand, the Mukamis looked like normal brothers, talking to each other normally and helping each other if needed. But what bothered me most what Ayato called that Yuma guy: fake. What did he mean by that?

Yui was smiling from time to time while listening to me. But as long as I finish my story, she goes back to beinggloomy again. I couldn't stand that.

"Yui-chan..."

"Yes?"

"Be honest, they did something to you didn't they?"

She was frustrated and it showed. "N-no... It's only the usual..." (Liar...)

I turned and looked at her in the eyes. "Yui, don't lie to me." I made sure to make my tone as serious as possible.

And as I knew, Yui easily gave up and confessed it all. With tears sadly. "I-it's Ayato-kun..."

A vein popped on my head. "What did he do this time?"

"H-he... Stole a kiss from me..." She said sobbing quietly.

"WHAT?!" I yelled and found out that my voice was too loud so I quickly put my hand on my mouth.

(I really hope no one comes to see what happened though) I formed a fist with my hand. "That's it! I'm gonna kill that takoyaki freak!"

I was about to break into his room when Yui stopped me. "P-please stop Sama-chan!"

"And why are you stopping me? That bastard took something from you didn't he? So he need a beating or he'll just do it again and again!"

"It's okay... I-I'm used to it..."

"It's not his first time?! O I'm gonna murder him and give him to Kanato so he can wax his body for me!" I was able to get out of Yui's grip easily but she caught me again.

"I beg you Sama-chan! Stop! I-I don't want you to get hurt..." She was crying more now.

I turned and looked at her. "That's not the problem here... Yui, you got to defend yourself a little. Obeying every word will just make them hurt you more..."

"I know... But I'm so weak and I can't do anything..." She covered her face with her hands.

"So, that's why you'll let me help you... I got it that you don't want me to beat him, so what should I do? Tell me and I'll be glad to help." I gave her a reassuring smile.

"Y-you maybe... Can talk to him after we eat dinner..."

"Talk huh... I doubt that'll do anything with him. But I'll try anyway. And if it doesn't work, don't blame me if I put bugs in his takoyaki." I gave her a wink.

She chuckled and wiped away her tears. "Thank you, Sama-chan..."

I smiled at her again. "No problem! And if anything happens, you know you can always count on me!"

I tapped her on the shoulder.

"Okay, I'll do my best too!"

"That's the spirit girl!" We both laughed and went back to preparing dinner. The rest of the conversation was good and we laughed a lot while talking. And I was dying not to put anything in Ayato's dish before I talk to him.

We went to dinner right after. And it was silent as usual. I couldn't help but glare at Ayato from time to time. And he seemed to notice that.

After we finished dinner, Ayato made my job easier and came to me. "You were glaring at yours truly the whole dinner. I want to know why is that." He went straight into the subject.

"I saw it..." I said in a low voice.

"What?"

"I saw you kiss Yui you pervert!" I needed to make it like Yui didn't tell me so she won't get hurt.

He smirked. "Ah, that... What about it?"

(What the-) "WHAT ABOUT IT? You bastard! Did you even ask her before doing that shameless move of yours?"

"Ask her? Pfft... Why should ore-sama ask a nothing like her?"

I grabbed him from the collar. "NOTHING?! A nothing is someone like you! You're just a rich bastard who can't do s**t without his daddy!" I smirked at him as I said the last sentence.

He glared at me and freed himself from me, then he pushed me to the wall. "Don't talk like you know everything!"

"And you stop telling me that already! I know that I don't cause you don't tell me s**t! But now after I saw you do that, I don't want to know anymore!" I couldn't take it. They keep telling me you don't know you don't know... How the hell should I know

/if they won't tellme? It just drives me crazy.

He tightened his grip around my wrists. I didn't give any reaction. That made him madder. "You-" his eyes were fixed on me glaring like he would kill me. Then he suddenly smirked. "I know what you want... You want a piece of yours truly, don't you?"

"Ha? If you mean beating you then hell yeah! Get anything else outta your mind!" I don't know but I had a bad feeling about this.

"No, not that... I mean this..." He looked at me then began to make the distance between our faces lesser and lesser. But to my surprise, this time was different. And my instinct was yelling at me to get away. (No way... Is this...?)

I was right, he was going for a kiss. I needed to do something. In an instant, I freed one of my hands and grabbed him... By his lips.

He was staring at me eyes open from the shock. I squeezed his lips in my fingers till blood came out. He backed away quickly, a hand covering his mouth. "W-what do you think you're doin-" I didn't give him a chance to speak more and punched him hard in

/the stomach. He fell on his knees after he covered his stomach with his arms. "Ugh... Agh..." He moaned slightly while getting up.

I made distance between us quickly and took the fighting pose. "If you think that I'll be an easy toy for you to play... Then you're wrong. Don't think cause I'm human that I'm less than you. I may be weaker than you physically, but I can cause damage

/too."

He was up now, giving me a death glare. "You bitch..." He said that and tried to punch me, but I dodged that.

"You want a fight? Bring it on!" I said that and we started to attack each other. We went on and on till the other brothers came to stop us. They barely separated us from each other. I was held up by Subaru while Laito held Ayato's head down. After alot

of yelling and cursing Reiji came and took us to his room. He gave us a loooong lecture about behaving and civilized arguing. We left after one hour of non-stop listening, we got our hands full of punishment. At the end, I took the most damage,

/and I felt like I'm gonna fall down any moment.

Even though, I don't regret anything I did...

I went to look for some medicine in Reiji's room but that evil glasses threw me out of the door. (I will get you back for this...) I clenched my teeth as pain went through my body when falling back as I was kicked out. I went then to the living room hopingto

find something helpful. That's when I saw Subaru there. "Subaru..." he didn't hear me as he was too busy looking at something. I looked where he was looking to find that he was staring at his injured hand. I jumped as I saw blood flowing out of

/the wound. "Whoa! What happened to your hand?! Are you alright?" He looked at me silently saying nothing. "Wait, did I do this...?" My eyes widened as the thought crossed my mind. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't..."

"It's wasn't you..." he said quietly.

"Huh...? Then who did this?"

"It was Ayato..." he tore a piece of his jacket and wrapped his hand. "It doesn't matter. I'll teach that bastard a lesson another day." He looked really pissed off.

"Hey! You can't just wrap this and say it's fine! The blood isn't stopping at all! You may-"

"Die?" He smirked. "I won't. It'll heal quickly so stop making a big deal out of this."

I felt stupid for a moment. "I know this is nothing for you, but still, it hurts doesn't it? Let me at least..." I grabbed the medicine kit that I finally found and went to where Subaru was sitting.

"I said it's fine. Just stay away from me."

I chuckled a bit. "Hey, you don't have to be shy. Let me just have a look..." I took his wounded hand as gently as possible trying not to hurt him more.

"I SAID I'M FINE!" He suddenly slapped me and I get pushed away hardly then fall on my back. I yelled out on pain as I felt the hardness of the floor hit my back and my old bruises too. I got away slowly trying not to fall a third time. (First I get kickedout

when asking for medicine and now I get slapped for trying to help...) "Hey! Are you alright?" he seemed to notice my pain as he got up and looked at me.

I glared at him as I was extra hurt since he was the one who hit me. If it was Ayato or Laito I wouldn't mind as much. (I thought we were friends...) I was about to cry but then I ate my pain preferring to die but not to cry in front of him. I didn'tsay

anything as I slowly went to the medicine kit that its containers scattered as he hit me. Then I collected them all in my hands. When I was done I looked at him one more time before throwing the entire kit on his face. "Hey! What the hell-" he

/stopped.

"That's what I get for trying to help no?! I should've known that from the start! Take those and help yourself! Don't expect me to care from now on!" I couldn't help but shed a tear as I said that. I left the confused Subaru behind as I ran with allmy

might upstairs. (That's what get for trying to help...) I smiled as I looked at my bruises and found out that I forgot to help myself.

(Well... thanks a lot...) I went to my bed to sleep trying to forget all the pain both my mind and body was causing me...

How was it? Why Subaru slapped Sama? Simple. As vampires smell blood, they tend to want to drink it so badly. So, he wanted her to get away so he can calm down but told her off a bit harshly. And to make it worse, it happened right after she thought that she made up with him. What do you think will happen next?
