New chapter to start my day! I'm currently fixing the chapters all again. I reached chapter 4 today and don't know how long it'll take me to fix them all. But I promise that I'll fix them. I also stopped using the fanfiction app and started using the website. That helped a LOT.
Thank you for your understanding. Let's go on with the new chapter.
This fanfiction's idea belongs to Sushi-chan99
I own nothing but my charecter Sama and her family members.
The next day mom went shopping first thing in the morning. She went alone and I had a feeling that it was related to what she said yesterday. I also noticed that she didn't get enough sleep yesterday so I was dying to know what she had in stock for the six idiots. Although she said "we do", she completely took the role for herself after saying that and erased me from the whole picture. Not that I want to do something good for people that did nothing but bad things to me, but I really wanted to know what made them become this way. If I describe this feeling, I'd call it 'pure curiosity'.
Mom then went to Yui's room. I went with her. When she asked about the six brothers past, Yui immediately got flustered. She really knew something and I thought that is was amazing for my mom to figure out that she did in such a short time. After a while of heavy questions, Yui finally spilled some beans for us. We learned from her that the brothers, each group were from a different mother. The trio idiots, Ayato, Kanato and Laito were from one mom. Shuu and Reiji from another. And as usual the lone Subaru, came alone from another one. It really shocked me at first but come to think about it, they really didn't look that much of each other. I mean if we look jus the hair color, Kanato's purple, Laito and Ayato brown, Shuu blond, Reiji dark and Subaru white. When I saw that I imagined their mother as a rainbow hair color woman. Now, I can't even believe that I was that stupid.
After we went out of Yui's room, mom seemed in deep thought all the way. She held her chin thinking till she almost missed a step in the stairs. But luckily, she caught her balance quickly. When we were at the bottom of the stairs at last, she stopped.
"Sama my dear..."
"Yes mom?"
"You remember when I told you we should do something special for the brothers...?"
(I already know what you'll say...) "Yeah... What about it?"
"You see, after I heard what Yui said, I knew what the boys seemed to miss..." She stopped for a moment. "It's a mother's love..."
My eyes widened. "Mother's... Love...?"
She looked serious now. "Yes, my dear. I'm not that clueless you know. From the start of my week here, I noticed some things off for them. When they mention the orders of the house and such things, they always talk about their father, then what about the mother? I first assumed that their mother is dead. But to think it was like this..." She looked really sad. That kinda made me feel bad too.
"Mom..." I never thought of it that way.
"And if we think more, it seems that all the three mothers are absent too. I don't know why but they are no more tied to this house. And even when they were here, I feel like they didn't do their job as mothers properly looking at how introvert and self-shut their sons have become..." She was right. I don't know if it was her intelligence or her mother instinct that made her know that, but she was damn right! Those boys seemed to have some brutal past. And to make it worse, they don't even want to talk about it. "That's why I decided..." She raised her voice all of a sudden. "I'll give them some of my special 'mom care' to make them feel better!" Her eyes sparkled.
When I saw the resolve on her eyes, I knew it was all settled and I can't stop her anymore. "Well, good luck then mom! I'll be cheering for you!" Was all that I got to say.
She rubbed my head as I was a pet. "Thank you my sweet girl! And I'll depend on you to take care of the rest of our family when I'm busy in this task?" That was definitely an order.
"Sure thing! You can count on me!" I gave her a thumbs up.
She did so too and walked away humming happily. I smiled looking at how happy she was. But I couldn't stop thinking about the six brothers now. Mom read all of them like an open book, and her explanation was the most logical one for all of this. I really can't imagine a little Laito moving around with bras in his hands sniffing on them, or a small Ayato that yells ore-sama all the time, and most of all a tiny Subaru that makes holes in the wall! It was all so confusing! What could have happened that made them this way?!
I thought about it a little and came up with an idea. (maybe mom can get them to tell her what happened...) that wasn't off the list, since mom gets almost everything she wants. The problem was that she told me that she'll do it alone, means how the hell I'm gonna hear about it?
That only left me one choice: eavesdropping. I really wasn't that kind of girl but thinking about that I'll get to know what happened made me forget everything. But first, I need to take care of several problems...
I then went off and checked on my family. I took the three girls to play in the garden outside, with the double trouble as bodyguards. Yui was also playing with the children too. I double checked if they were gonna notice me missing and sadly that wasn't the case. After taking care of all that I wandered around the mention looking for mom. That's when I caught her in front of Reiji's door knocking it. Few knocks and Reiji allowed her in. When she walked in, I walked right behind her taking advantage of the busy evil glasses looking at some book, then hid under a table and waited for them to talk. To hide myself better, I almost emptied my mom's perfume on myself. Why? Easy, to hide my smell from a certain mister-manners.
At the beginning mom was silent, just looking around at the tubes. Then she finally said something. "Reiji, you like chemicals...?"
Reiji looked a little surprised by the question. "Yes, very much. I do enjoy making them and trying their effects out."
"Really? Wonderful! Wait is that a C17H19N3O3S?" She lifted the tube off the table and started to explain it.
Reiji was looking more suprised now. "That's correct... How did you know, ?" He fixed his glasses.
"Oh just call me Sundus. And for how did I know... Well of course I'd know since I'm a university professor specialized in chemistry."
Finally Reiji lifted his eyes up leaving his work and was facing mom properly now. "A university professor? That's very admirable Ms... Sundus-san. Do you mind telling me a bit about your job?"
"No, I don't. I first aimed to be a teacher, but I found myself as a professor years later and I almost didn't believe it at first! My job well... It's kinda tiring but I love it! One reason that I teach myown children, Fahd and Omar, so I can rest safe learning that they are doing their best. Another reason, simply that I love chemistry! I have nothing more to add..."
Reiji was completely interested now. "Impressive, very impressive Sundus-san... Perhaps we can..."
"Oh right! Reiji, how about I test you?" She interrupted him rising her index finger up.
"..." Reiji was looking blankly now. "Test...?"
"Yes! To see how good you are in chemistry! If you get a good score, I'll teach you one or two secrets of mine~" she winked.
He was looking in really thoughtful right now. "Fine, I'll accept. As long as it's worthy..."
Mom's eyes sparkled. "Oh it's really worth it! So question one..." She started asking him questions that he solved in a short time and it was the opposite of me who was getting the answer by a longer time. She asked him ten questions and he got them all right. "Wow! You're really good. Now I wish you were one of my students..."
"It's normal. I suppose years of careful studying meant something after all..." He was bragging now and I wanted to punch him.
"I see I see..." She looked at the work he was doing. "Oh, you're still working at this?"
"Hm? Yes, this is my latest experiments. Although the it's not complete yet..." He was looking at his papers again.
Mom smiled widely. "You mind if I help you with this?"
"It's my place to ask you this Sundus-san, but please do. I've spent countless op hours on this formula and it doesn't seem right yet..."
"Well... If you do this... Maybe this too... And I little of this... You'll get the perfect formula!" She wrote things on his paper and as she did that Reiji face brightened. It wa rare sight.
"That's... I did not think of that..." He couldn't hold in his smile.
"It's simple but forgetful no? Now... Anything else you have problems with?"
"That won't be a bother for you?" Reiji looked like he was burning from excitement.
"No of course my dear... I'm a teacher and I promised you that I'll teach you things if you answer my questions, so I'll keep my promise by helping you out!"
"Alright, then..." He showed her another problem, and another, and another. To me it seemed endless and I was yawning a lot. They talked and talked about nothing but chemistry.
Finally, mom noticed that she spent a lot of time so she stood up. "Dear, look at the time! I'd love to continue our talk but I really have to go... Want us to resume this later?" She tilted her head.
"Yes, it would be my pleasure..." He stood up and bowed to her.
She giggled. "Then, excuse me..." She went for the door to go out with Reiji behind her and I got myself ready. Then she stopped. "I forgot!" She took out a book from her bag. "Here..." She gave the book to Reiji.
The book looked old and antic. Reiji's jaw dropped don't know why "W-where did you find this...?" He was looking at the book like a treasure.
"You like it?"
"Yes! I was looking for this book for ages..." He was super excited again.
"Then I'm glad... I looked everywhere for this book especially for you and I was worried you won't like it..."
Reiji looked at mom confused. "Special... For me?"
"Yes, since I count you as my own boy..." He was looking at her eye widened. She noticed and sighed. "Look here, Reiji. I don't know what happened with you years ago, but it clearly seems that it wasn't a good memory. What I want you to know is that whatever you have on your mind, you can tell me. I'm here for all of you..." She rubbed his head and ruffled his hair. He didn't say anything. "So don't hesitate in asking me anything... I'll always be there." She opened the door. "Read the book as soon as you can, since I'll ask you about it~" she smiled widely and went out of the door.
I was too stunned by the situation that I forgot to go out of the room. I looked at Reiji who was looking at the book with a deep sad look in his eyes. I was a little surprised that mom got to him so easily. But that means that she really understood him.
The only problem now is... How the hell I'm supposed to get out of here?!
How was it? Even Reiji can be cute sometimes too no? I felt like the brothers needed some warmth that's why I'm writing this. You can always leave a review about what you think so don't hesitate by doing so. Thank you for reading this chapter, please look forward for the next chapter!
